New F430 owner with a question?

Hi guys,

I just purchased a 2005 F430. It seems like there is some body flex when going over uneven surfaces at slow speeds. Like speed bumps or approaching driveways... I do not have a spider..

Is this common or is this something else I need to check into? I know that the suspension is pretty tight. I just keep hearing these weird sounds, primarily when taking off from a stopped position.

Thanks,

John, have a look in threads regarding the ball joint issues on the 430. We discussed quite often this common issue on this car.

Oh, that doesn't sound good. So the body is tight and the noise I'm hearing may be ball joints?
Front ball joints only? Expensive?

Thanks Stef

I'm afraid yes John, or it may be the sway bar bushings too. Does the noise comes from the front RHS? Is it a sort of knocking sound when you're driving over speed bumps?

If your ball joints are worn and have play, you can replace them with the improved Hill Engineering ball joints. Ricambi has them available for the USA market

Stef,

I don't think it's ball joints. The dealer just replaced the rear tie rods and inspected the complete suspension. They also did a four wheel alignment. The car is solid and tracks straight. The tires are wearing perfectly., no irregular wear.

I think the noise is coming from the cabin. It seems like things shift around and make noises? I noticed that the dash and doors touch each other. Maybe when they make contact, it produces the noise I'm hearing. But, the noise is definitely coming from inside the car.

Do these cars flex? That what appears to be happening.

Thanks

That's exactly what I'm talking about. I just came from a Mercedes AMG and they are pretty quiet inside. I do love the car and kind of expect a little less luxury than the Mercedes.

I appreciate your help and comments.

Thanks
