Air intake cover (Carbon)

I know it has been covered somewhere but I couldn't find a definitive answer on the pro's and cons of an aftermarket air intake cover without horns.
The horns serve a purpose as resonator but besides that....?

Some pics for people who don't know what I'm talking about;

OEM;

OEM with horn;

Carbon aftermarket without horn;

I've only test fitted them for now and the car hasn't been outside yet so I can't tell about the sound difference.

I know it won't add any real HP's but it looks waaaayyy faster.

Nice: Keep the old ones though, just good to have a box full of the old stuff.

Who made them?

The horns are indeed Helmholtz resonators, they improve the sound and compress slightly the air flow. In theory, without them, the car would loose a bit HP
