Looking for 430 luggage

Came across this set - anyone know if it's for the 430?

Ferrari leather luggage set | eBay

Barchetta is really nice if someone knows an owner.

Looks like a set from a 355, from looking at the other EBAY auctions under Ferrari Luggage?

I have no idea what 430 luggage looks like - you are probably correct.

Doug, here's a listing for a 430 set:

eBay - New & used electronics, cars, apparel, collectibles, sporting goods & more at low prices

They look just like the 360 set and come up on eBay fairly regularly.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Thanks - not in love with the red but at the right price ... maybe

At least I now know what I am looking for.

What is the deal with the car and the luggage separating - that seems pretty screwed up IMO.

No one pays differently for a car with or without the luggage. So it is usually kept separate. Luggage on older cars 355 and older till late 60s was IMO extremely rare to get. Newer cars seem to have had more luggage opportunities in the purchase package. But many on resale expect luggage for free. Luggage is nice but I never have used any of my sets and keep them as bling for display events only.

The 16M had it's own, unique set of alcantara luggage. It may be far harder to track down though as it was very expensive new so probably not ordered by many owners. I've seen the corresponding set for the 430 Scuderia and it is beautifully made and detailed.

I found these pics of it.

Found it at Eurospares. It's expensive as I thought http://www.eurospares.co.uk/searchRe...&TA=1&TB=45708

Waste of money. Would be like buying a car and never driving it. Better value would be to upgrade the exhaust, or add sport cats and pick up some hp. Might as well take the above picture, get it blown up, and make a poster to go on the wall in front of your beautiful 16M.

alcantara is optimal IMO than smooth leather which scratches and is just too difficult to miantain.
MOFact, I'd rather that for my interior for same reasons.

+1, I have the luggage for both the F40 and F50 and have never used either.

Wow - Thank You!

I am thinking that was special ordered - and whomever placed the order had a good relationship with someone at the factory or spec'd it.

Beautifully done!

I agree it could be considered a waste but it was an original item and figure why not in the scheme of things the cost isn't that big of deal and a very cool thing to have.

Not as cool as an extra 50 hp at the wheels!

It is the regular luggage for the 16M so apart from ticking the luggage option on the order sheet it won't have been custom designed. It's still available to order via a main dealer but judging by the price quoted on the Eurospares link I put in my previous post it is expensive. The alcantara certainly makes it more durable as I flew to the factory with a friend who has the Suderia version of the larger bag (which incidentally is a very useful trolley case). His bag took a bit of a pounding from the baggage handling guys but was fine after a quick wipe down. The normal 430 soft Schedoni leather cases would have been ruined after such rough treatment.

It took me a whole to recall that luggage set. I know the owner and he posted it in a couple of forums years ago. TS and FC both have a thread he authored. Also happens to be the same guy who had his F50 wrecked by the popo.

His post said it was a special order to match the colors of his 16M and stripe.

Eventually I will find a good set for sale.

I double checked with my dealer. That is the standard 16M luggage set so not a custom order. There are two versions offered it seems. This set with the tricolour stripe and one in grey without the stripe.
