Superb testimony. Got me tempted to try as well.

Power wise? Any lack of backpressure?

Could you PM the contact and price for the exhaust, need something for my 16M, really hate the stock exhaust sound, and the valves opening and closing.

430 Racing Seats vs SCUD/16M seats

Is it me but have been hammering around in the SCUD this weekend and the side bolsters in my SCUD seats seem to be lacking vs 430 Carbon race seats ??

Its one of the reasons why I love race seats on a fast twisty track... Once you up the tempo a bit regular road seats and belts simply don't hold you well enough and you end up using the steering wheel to keep you in place (not ideal)...

These latest Sabelt Challenge series CF race seats look awesome and weigh little but not cheap (although nothing of exceptional quality ever is...)

Strive for perfection in everything we do. Take the best that exists and make it better.
When it does not exist, design it. Accept nothing nearly right or good enough.

Ever since I got my oem Ferrari 4-pt installed I slide around a lot less. Might be a good avenue to consider & most definitely will be cheaper than those buckets above. It obviously won't be as snug as those buckets but for street / twisty country road I think it's more than adequate.

Hi Trev! Welcome back buddy.

Perhaps it coukd be a size issue. I'm fine in my scud seat size M. As Alwin mentioned with the oem 4 pt harness there is little to no roll.

The new challlenge seats look fantastic. Great to have but might be excessive for road use.

They run $4,500 and are available through S-Line Motorsports (s-linemotorsports.com...allow me to apologize in advance for the site :-)). Dave should have a couple ready to roll out the door for the Scud/16M here in the next week or so for those interested. If you can't get in touch with him - hit me up and I can get him in person.

Just tap once if it doesn't auto-play itself. You should see the play/pause icon on the top right corner.

Sounds great, would be good to hear some longer recordings and at varied revs - though out the rev range in normal driving would be ideal, leading to that F1 crescendo.

'SCUD' Verb. To move fast as if driven by the wind.

Sounds good Alwyn and it looks like you guys are on a winner. Any chance of a pic of how yours and Dave's pipes look now? Are they still prototypes or have you polished yours and how do the name plates look etc. How's the engine bay heat? Any difference between the ceramic coated pipes in engine bay heat? Also pics showing connection points? How does it sound at idle and up to 3K? IMO the scud with valves closed sounds like an old VW beetle at low revs. I know that it is subjective but have you noticed any changes to responsiveness? Sorry about the barrage but I am really interested in this.

heat is insanely cooler, my carbon loves me right about now.

At idle, it sounds like stock exhaust w valves opened, like those w the Capristo remote valve control. Even at idle, the sound is already a lot cleaner and crisper. Watch my first youtube, the entire beginning is idle:
Amazeballs ScudXX X-Pipe Sound Test w Kreissieg titanium tips - YouTube

No droning, gurgling etc throughout any RPM range. It is sublime.

There are occasional blowback pops when I downshift or let off the throttle in mid-high RPM, which I have been told by my fellow onlookers is when they notice some fire spitting action =) which imho is a plus.

In all seriousness, you guys need to just stop nit-picking / procrastinating and just do something if you're serious about getting rid of that heatsoacker of an oem exhaust, which we all can agree has left much to lust for, esp. if any of you are like myself who came from a full tubi'd CS. The sound alone of my ScudXX X-pipe is unparalleled and nothing out there can produce this kind of sound, and the build quality, weight savings, heat dissipation are leaps and bounds better than oem, that is my own personal guarantee...I took the plunge, have already handled the pieces in my own hands and installed it, other than perhaps using titanium instead, I can't see how this could be any better.

Still the best $4.5k I have spent on the car, and I have put quite a lot into the car.

Kreissieg titanium tips not included:
