360 - windscreen wipers

Gents
Took the 360 out yesterday, quick shower of rain and the windscreen wipers decided not to work. Everything else (electric and other) seems to be working perfectly.

I'm hoping a fuse? Anyone know if there is a fuse that is just specific to the wipers (and if so where it might be). And yes I am being lazy. Haven't even opened the owener's manual yet... but it's Sunday and I'm tired and I know someone birghter than me might know the answer

Cheers....

OK, so I've resorted to looking at the manual and still can't work it out.

Wipers still not working, everything else working fine. Any advice from those with far superior knowledge than me...???

If it is not a fuse then it is either a loose connection or the wiper motor has fried. Try turning the wipers on and listening to see if the motors are making any noise.

Gents
I replaced the relay for windscreen wipers (switched it with the rear heated window relay temporarily to see if it made any difference) and they still don't work.

I notices that there is a second relay (relay no. 82) which in the workshop manual is described as "+30 Windscreen Wiper".

Does anyone know what this relay/fuse does? I've not replaced/switched this one yet.

No noise at all Boxer when I put on the wipers - which had me thinking a fuse?

My guess would be fuse, relay, or a bad wire/connection. Can you check to see if the wipers are getting any power?

Life can be mysterious sometimes.

Took out every fuse and relay pertaining to the windscreen wipers, and then put them all back in again (the same fuses and relays!) and hey presto the wipers are working again.

Go figure!?

They don't like rain !

(could be a loose connection behind the fuse box)

I changed new wipers n used it on a rainy day. It was so new that there was so much friction that one of the wipers came undone! Fixed it since then but have resorted to a solution that does not require the use of wipers. There are Japanese rub on's that allows rain water to run off the wind screen at 40km/h. Works for me. N if I really need wipers , I mix a strong conditioner in the wiper fluid n give the wind screen a good spray to lubricate so that the wipers can slide smoothly.

360 wipers don't work

I know this is an old thread, but I think I know the answer. I was changing the wipers on the wife's 360 and the wipers did not work. They worked fine the other day when caught in the rain. Which is when she noted she needed new blades.

The front trunk lid was unlatched, and although not "up", there must be a safety switch that prevents the wipers from working when the trunk might possibly be up and hit the wipers, causing paint damage. Pushed the lid to latch, and the wipers worked fine! Was able to get them up for a quick wiper change. End of mystery!

Stand up and be counted, or lay down and be mounted.

thanks for your post - you may have just solved my "wipers not working" issue.
away from home at the moment - now itching to get back to check - but fairly sure the hood was unlatched.

Does it also cut out the squirters as well ?
