Noticed you also have a Noble. Heard they are brilliant to drive but can be quite temperamental. How has your experience been?.

I don't really know what to say about that car: absolutely unconfortable, but soooooooo wonderful to drive, specially in mix mountain road.
At last, I've sold it 'cause it's too raw, too much track setted to use it around the streets.
I was also thinking about working on the engine, to have some more HP: the car is so well-balance, you want more, more, more.
Need very often checks, for it's nature of semi-handmade car, but the engine always worked wonderful, without any problems.
For its price, it was a delight to use.

Interesting, I had heard that the engines were actually a weak point but the ride and suspension were outstanding. Good to hear from an owner. The new Noble 600 did get good reviews in EVO.

The engine never had problems ... maybe I used it too slowly ... I don't know with a track intensive life.
I think the new Noble is quite too expensive: for that amount of money, I wanna have something truly exclusive, the 458 Italia for sure.

I don't have any interior photos that I can think of as my old computer crashed. But I have a picture of the front.... The strange thing with my car was that the front end was changed to the non-M look!! Everything else was M. I can't understand why people do things like that, but that was how the car was. I never really thought about it while owning it but it is kind of strange. Anyway, I like the first front a lot too. The only thing I did not like (with both of them) are the pop-up head lamps. They needs cleaning like everything else and you have to turn the ignition on to get them to pop up.. And it is not possible to high beam-flash before overtaking without raising the lamps. Someone told me that the curve/fog lamps should flash when you do that and the lights are down, but mine did not.

Interesting how the color almost looks brown in the first shot.

Great that you're driving it that's what they are made for !

Henri- Very pretty M. Prices seem to be rising on the 456Ms lately, so a good buy.

I sent Ben Deetman the 456 and 456M workshop manuals plus the expanded electrical section L for the 456M and you can download those for free at ferraridatabase.com.

new to the club - waiting for delivery of 2006 612 blue tour de fance

Im in San Francisco and finally made the leap. My heart is still pounding from the move to pull the trigger. I'll be counting the days until it arrives as it's presently on the other side of the country.

Any advice for a new owner of an older car? I find it unreal that a 7 year old car has less than 10K miles. I'll likely be posting a bunch of questions on: the proper course of required upkeep. I get the sense that some work is required and other work is due to dealers knowing owners want perfection.

Doug- Welcome to Ferrari Life. For most of us here, except for the rich guys, that is a really new Ferrari. 612s maintained by the book have proven to be very reliable, except possibly for a plastic switch or two. Enjoy her and we will try and answer any questions you have. Download an owners manual for free from ferraridatabase.com and learn about your car before she arrives.

I would also have it serviced (unless it has just been done) as soon as it arrives. Best to start your ownership just having had the car gone through.
