File must be too large - usually takes a few seconds.

Upload a few pics at a time or reduce their file size, I had the same problem initially

How do you reduce the size of a photo? Shall I send via email from my iPhone, as that asks what size to send, re-save as tough it's a new photo?, or is there a more simple way that dullards like me should, but don't, know?

If you e-mail me the photos, I'll post them up. My e-mail address is [email protected].

I need an Aventador!

Here are some pictures of Sid's stunning manual Grigio Alloy 612! It's a very early car too - built in June, 2004!

Lovely 612.

If it is a 2004 build, is that a 2006 reg plate? Long time in the showroom?

I'm uncertain of how to read UK plates - but it's definitely a 2004 612.

The car was purchased on 1/09/2006, new at first registration. Not sure how it came about, but the car must have been a cancelled order or something, my dealership got the car for me, and treated as a new car as it should be. In the uk, generally with mass market cars, they can sit around doing nothing for a long time.

My memoryis unclear, but I believe the car came from stratstone or similar, and had been in a warehouse somewhere and essentially forgotten about along with a number of other cars, there was also a dark green f1 612 my dealer could have bought for me, but I wouldn't have wanted dark green!

Interesting story. Incredible to think of a bunch of new Ferrari's sitting in a warehouse forgotten about!

Thankfully you are treating it now as Enzo intended.

The dealership showroom looks like Carrs in Exeter. Correct?

It's such a difficult question, I mean, I love my 612, but I loved the 360 coupe I had for different reasons. That car was so noisy, it had a straight thru exhaust that made it sound like an f1 car, and was so loud the cops knew I was coming from about 2 miles away!

The 575 always impressed me, but driving a 599 really made me change my mind about its performance as its such a massive step, although I think the prettiest car I had was the 575

My 430 spider was probably the most fun car out of all, because it had so much easy ability, it was difficult to chose anything else over that for a blast out.

I must admit, I have a soft spot for masers, I had a 3200gt coupe which was great, and then I found the 4200gt an awesome car for the money. I had lots of those, and 3 spiders. The spiders were fun but flawed (a bit wobbly and shaky) but what great sound from those cars. The handling was easy to improve by adjusting cambers settings too, so I destroyed a few people around tracks that had the old 'masers fall apart' attitude.

As well as the usual, Carrs organised Aston martins, lambos, Bugatti eb110, Porsches, BMWs, mercs, jags and many others for me over the years. I still use them, but over the past couple years since my heart attacks, I cut back on the car buying as income changed a it and dropping money became a bit less attractive!

I only have three left, the 612, a range rover sport and my girls BMW 120i cab at the moment, and I'm seriously resisting an urge to find a cheap 360 coupe for Sundays!

I have to say that I found Carrs a lot more personable than some dealerships, but then, I think it's sometimes down to personalities as to whether you like a dealership, and I do get on well with the guys down there, even though they are 90 miles further away than my local dealers.

I have a annual service due on the 612 soon though, and I may give a local specialist a try, he is based in Cheltenham, not sure yet.

Yeah I do, need to phone them tomorrow to ask them about fitting a iPod connection to my radio in the 612

Do you know them yourself? Which dealers do you favour at the moment? Where abouts n the uk are you based?

Very interesting - especially that you would go back to the 360.

The Masers and Astons just seem to be lacking in the F1 department which I simply love from Ferrari. If I were to go back which seems to peak my interest it will be with a 575 SA F1 or a gated shifter 550 Barchetta just to feel the gated shifter activate.

Take care of yourself - we need you around

I do use them and have for many years now. I am based near Windsor but send all my cars to them for service. In fact both the F40 & F50 are there now.
