575 SuperAmerica Rooftop replacement

Hello,

I have a 2006 575 SuperAmerica and was wondering if the Rooftop is available ? My car suffers the delamination of the roof as many have faced. I would like to replace it and was wondering where is the best place to do it ?

I was quoted a ridiculous price by my local service centre in the middle east. I am inclined to ship my car to Europe to preform this change and keep it stored in a long term facility.

Does Ferrari Classiche offer this service at their facility ?

Thank you in advance,

Mohammad

Mohammad- There was an implied warranty on the roof and Ferrari replaced several of them, along with the new roof ECU, for free after the warranty expired. I would contact Ferrari in Maranello directly and see what they say. There is no doubt Ferrari Classiche can replace the roof for you, but the price would probably be in the $25-40K range. One of the late model roofs was for sale here for a while, at an asking price of ~$30K.

Hello,

Thank you for the fast reply, I called the Ferrari Switchboard on Maranello and was transferred to the Classiche and no one picks up. The lady over the phone told me they were probably in holiday during this time of the year.

I am the second owner of the car, does Ferrari have some sort of good will programme ? Mercedes on the other hand will do good will which I have used many times if the mileage is under a certain KM range.

How would Ferrari cover the expense ? Should my dealer contact them ?

I was quoted a whopping $60,000 for the roof along with labour rates and several components that require to be changed. Rationally speaking $60,000 over here (middle east) could buy you a F430 Spider with 20k miles.

Try calling back at the beginning of September. I know Maserati were closed for the whole of August last year (although my car was finished at the end of July, I couldn't pick it up until the beginning of September when they got back from holiday), so maybe it's the same at Ferrari.

Best wishes, John

For all of you who never did business with Italy and other Mediterranean countries, you should know that industrial Italy take the month of August off on holiday. I used to import from Italy and grew accustomed to the factories closing completely for the month of August, just as they do every day for lunch (you can show up from overseas at a factory door and they won't let you in until they finish their lunch).

Currently at the dealership having the roof top changed we were able to source the parts.

I have a F12 TDF on the way and have a good history with the dealership which lead to me number crunching them on labour to meet the invoice I would rationalise.
