575 Starting Problem

My 2005 575 turns over strongly but will not start. It has a P 1611 error code but this could be in the system from a past fault. Any ideas? Thanks

Ciao Phil,
Could be the immobilizer .... And also If i remember correct P 1611 is the immobilizer ECU error .

Can you post some Pics of your Maranello?

Best regards from Italy

Phil- Do the simple stuff first. Change the battery in the fob, pinch the contacts closed before inserting, and spin to make sure there is no corrosion. Unlike earlier Ferraris, the 575M will turn over fine while immobilized. More details:

Terry what if your 575 is starting but just seems to be taking longer to turn over? I just had my battery changed last year so the 575M battery is effectively new, but I believe my FOB battery may be dying. I forget the battery type I need to buy, can you remind me again please? Thanks in advance.

Clyde- The fob batteries have nothing to do with how fast she turns over. Only your main battery determines that. Fob battery type is in the document I posted above.

Thanks Fabio - that makes sense - feels like an immobiliser issue. Will check further

Ciao Phil,
sorry about your error code i bad remembered ...
I check on F575 error codes manual and the error is "supply voltage too low" as per attached picture.
But if the start engine give regular speed, i think however could be the immobiliser ....

Best Regards
