Going away for a couple of months. What to do with SA

Hi folks, but especially Terry if he is reading...

I am taking the wife on a long two month trip and wondering how best to preserve the car.

My son is not insured to drive it although he can drive. I was thinking he could start the engine and run it around the car park area a little just to keep everything turning.

Obviously I can leave the battery tender on for charging purposes but what about the rest of car. What do you think?

Start it once a week? Fortnight?

Warm the engine only?

Does it need driving at all for two months (or even starting engine)?

All its life so far it has had a run at least once every two weeks at worst but typically at least once a week. It has 17K Km so far in 9 years. Still in great shape.

I value your opinion!

Thanks
Paul

Paul- For two months I would just put her on the charger and leave her alone. She will be fine. Make sure the tire pressures are checked and maybe put a little fuel stabilizer in her. For an entire winter, I am a start and run guy, but for two months, she will be fine left alone. Fill the tank with gas to cut down on condensation.

Paul- Happy New Year to you and your family.

Who is faster on the track, you or your wife? She can really drive.
