550 Maranello For Sale?

Hi there - does anyone know of a good 550 Maranello for sale and available in the USA? I have a friend looking for a car and he is cash buyer. A Porsche person joining the dark side!
Cheers and happy motoring, Philip

There are currently 8 of them for sale on eBay (USA). None of them are cheap (asking prices $129K-$275K). It seems that the market has been changing rapidly enough that it is hard to know what the current "market" price is for any given car. Good luck in your search.

Lovely looking car! Looks like US prices are catching up with the UK.

Best wishes, John

Excellent - appreciate the feedback. Algar car looks fabulous. Prices firming everywhere as people wake up to the 500/575. Fortunately it is for a friend of mine in the US buying his first Ferrari (change from Porsche) - as I already have a 575M.
There will be a feature in next months issue of Octane (UK) on the 575 and AM Vanquish. Best wishes to all for the festive season!

Hi Philip,
compliments!
Very nice combo colors for maranello, not usual but nice.
I picked up this picture from Algar, if this is your car, before pick up is better that you ask to them to adjust the clearance between hood and bumper, is different to the clearance to the two lights at the two sides, probably is sufficient a little regulation.
However best bought!

Curious, where in Washington state, anywhere near Bellevue? That is a beautiful car. Maybe the owner will go to some events with it.

Yes very common problem with 550 and 575 - anyone who has been to the factory will see a silver 550 (or 575 - cant recall which one) that has been there for 5 years that I know and it has a completely mis-aligned bonnet. I think the only good ones are those that have been pulled apart and rebuilt.

Cheers - another common problem or sticky issue! Have it on my 355 now with a few switches and all the steering column.

Very cool. I took a look at that car when I last stopped by Algar. A beauty.
