Chris- Sorry, none, but other 550 owners (575Ms do not have this problem) have had good luck with these aftermarket covers. Expensive, but cheaper than new Ferrari parts, which will just crack and leak again like the originals.

David- Will you be making some proprietary parts for the 550 fuel pump systems? Sounds exciting.

Chris,

This will get you started...

All of the rubber bits are available from Ferrari, although availability is spotty. As the liability of doing this job is high, I'd prefer to stick with the factory parts. Why they chose a "plastic" part to support the pump in the tank is beyond me, hence why I feel the machined aluminum piece is a safer route.

Chris,

This is a high risk, high liability repair if not done correctly. I don't supply parts or a part list for this repair. Considering you're dealing with the fuel system and the risk of fire, I would strongly suggest that you bring the car to someone or work with someone who is familiar with the fuel system.

Other than perhaps the fuel pump mounting plates, I would only consider using genuine Ferrari parts.

Regarding what parts you might need, a review of the fuel pump and fuel system diagrams on the Ricambi site might be beneficial.

Hello David,

The work to be done is not the problem, i'm a mechanic so i do it in person. I only asked myself, is your product a kind of a set or is it only the part itself to be changed. I wrote you a mail on your businessadress because i'm very interested to order, i hope you got it, otherwise please tell me to contact you again.

Many greetings Chris

Chris,

I don't have any parts sell. I would order them from GT Car Parts or Ferrari. I don't offer any repair kits for the 550 fuel system. Sorry..

Fuel line fittings size

Hello again,

Since the last posting some time (and mails) was going on.
I'm in contact with Mostafa Eldah from G.T. CAR PARTS INC

He told me there are two sizes of fuel line fittings (5/16" or 3/8") on the fuel pump cover.
My car is not disjointed at the moment, so its not possible for me to look on the fuel line - does anybody know something about that topic? Is that right that there are two kind of fittings at the fuel line (maybe for Europe and US different?).

Maybe someone can help me - Thank you!

The change to the cover was made at Assembly Number 28080. If you give them your assembly number (in front of the engine), they should be able to get you the correct piece.
