599 GTB front brake pad hardware

Would anybody know where to buy the hardware (spring clips and pins) without the pads for 599 with steel rotors/discs? Aftermarket high performance pads comes without them. I have seen other cars using similar calipers. Rgds///Thomas

Thomas, there is this site here in the US that has some. Perhaps a similar internet search will generate something closer to home.

Great. Thanks Bill for the link. I've been "oogling" a couple of hours and found in Ferodo cross reference that AMG SLK55 and Lexus IS-F use the 599 calipers. Maserati GranTurismo too but they dont sell the parts without pads. I will visit the Mercedes dealer when I'm going in that direction. I also found out that the standard pads dont fit my Brembo Racing rotors/discs but that can be solved with a radially thinner pad that clear the bell and also the caliper once I carve off a little from both ends of the pads. Well that idea didn't work as expected as 599 calipers and 380 mm discs dont fit inside 18" BBS 3-pc wheel. 4-piston 612 calipers do with 5-6 mm clearance. Rgds///Thomas

612 front brakes have 345 mm rotors (CCMs 380 mm, but require 19" wheels). Practical limit for 18" wheels and large calipers are 355 mm rotors in most cases.

599 have 353 mm steel front rotors and as you wrote 355 mm brakes for 18" wheels. F40-F50 brembo 4-pot calipers with 380 mm rotors fit inside an 18" BBS motorsport 3-piece wheel. Also OK with ATS GT-Racing 18" (look a like to OZ Racing used on 575 GT-1) The 6-pot 599 caliper or Brembo GT kit only fit with 370 mm rotors inside those wheels. Brembo 8-pot caliper use less space inside the wheel than 6-pot but have radially taller brakepads. No matter how one turns, the butt end is always behind. Rgds///Thomas
