Terry - Onno , many thanks for the kind words. The Maranello has one unique feature , it is as good to drive as it is enjoyable to look at . I enjoy parking it in front of a small Italian bar in Prague and staring at it whilst having a good espresso specially on Sunday early mornings when all the world still sleeps:-)

Alex- Sounds like fun, but make mine a beer. Some really good Czech beers. Somebody else would have to drive, though.

Never got to visit Eastern Europe during my time in Europe. Some of our targets were there. Glad that is over.

Yes Czech beer is really good. I am also glad that you did not have to bomb your targets :-)

Thanks Alex,

Terry, these cars could increase in value 10 fold then I would be lucky enough to own a car that was worth 10 times as much.
A few more.
Beautiful.

No I won't hold my breath on that, she will stay right here at any change in value.
Had a nice drive yesterday, another today and will be enjoying next weekend in Sonoma at the Ferrari challenge.
Any F-lifers going to Sonoma?

I was referring to the 308, 328, and TRs. Those cars do not even come close to those specs you mentioned.

Reread what I posted.

Adam- Yup, can see that on rereading. The 308s and 328s bring big bucks because they are pretty and easy to maintain.

i flipped my 308 GTB in less than a year for a very nice profit. Yes they are easy to maintain and fun to drive, but they don't come close to the drivability of the Maranello. The 308 is a tactile experience especially in the carbureted form. But to be perfectly honest, I am 6'2" and the dogleg 1st gear lever position practically violated me at every stop light. I had to lurch so far down in the seat that long distance driving would have been impossible. Yes it was nice to look at but it was 70's technology and felt every bit of it. If I want nostalgia with a whiff or petrol i'll get american muscle, shoe horning myself in the 308 got old. The 550 is an amazing car and without a doubt will be a 200k plus car in 5 years (even with a stock market correction). Mine is in the garage and it only sees sunny days. My hope is to hand it down to the kids and let them decide what to do with it. They are very special cars that you have to experience in order to fully appreciate. A coworker of mine hesitated to buy one and now they are 6 figure cars in the US. I believe at these levels they are still amazing cars with tons of value in the tank. THEY ARE THAT GOOD.

1999 550 Maranello TDF Cuoio...mmm mmm tasty

Times sure are changing.

We did a nice 120 mile day trip in our Pozzi Blue 550M. Although it seems that we use her often, she's only has about 14K miles on the odometer. Such great GT cars!

Hi Mogul,
strange .... on the first and second "Ferrari tribute to 1000 miglia" (2012 & 2013) the cars stopped in Ravenna for one night and just in the parking in front of my office!!! There was more maranello's, 550 barchetta, 550, 575, 575SA .....

There were nice mornings for my eyes ....
