New 550 owner!

Well, I've taken the plunge and got myself a 550. It's a 2-owner, 42klms 1999 model with the Fiorano Handling Pack. Can't wait until the summer when I collect it from Germany.

My dream car- I still have the original magazine articles from the launch!

Harry- Welcome to Ferrari Life. Very pretty 550 in what I think of as the quintessential Maranello color, Grigio Titanio. Hope you enjoy her and let us know how she handles and drives. FHP is relatively rare on 550s, so good find.

Harry, welcome to FL.

Yet, another victim from a deliberate plunge. Seems like lately, the casualties have increased a lot ?

Nice color, of course.

Harry, another welcome to FLife from a fellow 550 owner.

You'll love the car. More torque than a locomotive, but impeccable manners too.

'99 550, Rosso Corsa / Nero, S/N:114654, Assy: 31836, Engine: 52084

High mileage, low compression, and missing on a few cylinders.....just like my cars.

Congrats, as a fellow 550 owner you will be delighted with the power, performance, and comfort. When my wife and I drove through Ireland in 2010 I kept thinking that the roads were perfect for a touring car. You will have to post pictures of your adventures come spring.

Thank you gentlemen, I am certainly looking forward to racking up the miles. The road trip from Hamburg to NI via London should be great to get used to the car in true GT fashion!

Thanks guys. Look forward to contributing more in the future once I get her home.

Fabio, do you have the 575 sales brochure? I have one as well as my 550 item, and don't really need it... PM for details if interested. Or anyone else for that matter....

Hi Michael, if there is a gathering in the summer, I'd certainly be interested in meeting up! I presume there are some Dublin based guys that get together?

Yes, I saw that one too. No sign of it in the auction catalogue, so I assume it was going to auction but was withdrawn, maybe sold prior. That price for a 40,000 mile LHD car is seriously OTT, but I assume they are including a premium for rarity of red WSR version - 100% seems a lot, though!!

Best wishes, John

Congrats! It's raining Maranellos lately. How nice that they are appreciated.

And - the Irish roads love Maranellos!

Yeah, I thought the estimate was Crazy with a capital C.....there's not many investment type cars at this auction, was surprised to see this one there & the 308/288GTO replica has been on the market for an age, don't know how sound that would be, but at least it's all Ferrari - I think???
