Looking for help in LA for a 575

Hello everyone- I have spents weeks soaking up all the great information here on the forum. I am in the hunt for a 575 and found several in LA I plan on looking at. Coming from Cleveland, I am getting as much detailed info as possible before my trip. In short, is there a reason not to use a Ferrari dealer for a PPI, other than maybe cost? I have an 05 Maserati Gran Sport and would not go anywhere else but to my local indie who I trust explictly. Can anyone recommend an Indie or two in the LA area for a PPI. Secondly, does anyone know this car and can provide any feedback?

Appreciate any inputs. These forums are such a godsend of information- great stuff. Thx

Dan, first welcome to the board and good luck in your search. It can be good fun. As far as a dealer goes, they seem to be hit or miss. i would never take my car to our local dealer, but I hear good things about the one in philly. So you just have to ask around. i would use caution though as the PPI is going to be one of the most important parts of the buying decision. I also wouldn't post a car I was going after on the forum for that car. Specially if it is rare like a 575. But that may just be me. I'm sure one of these guys can help you with a local shop. if you can't find one, PM our sponsor competizione, i'm sure they can refer you to the best.

Dan- Welcome to Ferrari Life. That looks like a nice low mileage one with all the options most buyers want, except HGTC. The carbon fiber option is relatively rare and nice to have and she has all the big ones, 19" wheels, Daytonas and shelf, shields, and FHP. The 2005 models had nearly all the upgrades Ferrari made to the 575M through the production run.

Great looking car, and it has all the options I would be looking for. Make sure you verify the FHP, everyone claims to have it, I guess mine was the only 575 built without it. Im sure someone here can help you find a compentent shop for a PPI

Dan,
If you need a PPI in the LA area I would contact Craig Calder from Fastcars LTD
He did a PPI for me on a 550 I was going to buy few years back and saved me from making a big mistake. He is very reputable in the Ferrari community too

Dan, there is a 575 available at Mike Sheehan that looks superb. Why not check this out ? Probably worth looking into. He is upfront and more than knowledgable and you should get a fair priced deal with him. Good luck with your search.
