Marty- Welcome to Ferrari Life. You must be from the UK because the first 612s available in the US were model year 05. In general, the 612s have been very reliable and servicing runs around 600 pounds a year and quite a bit more every 5 years when the cambelts need replacing. That does not include tires. There have been very few problems with the 612 except some interior switches that have needed repair or replacement. The drivetrain has been pretty much bulletproof with the well-proven 575M engine, updated and uprated, and F1A electro-hydraulic shifter system.
No clue on the Aston or Maserati. You can download 612 owners manuals and some other tech data for free at ferraridatabase.com.
Present: 575M 135171

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.
