Want to buy this F612 & need help!

Hello,

Im looking for e 612 and I drove several cars.
I have found this car:
Ferrari 612 Scaglietti GTS | AR Cars, s.r.o.

VIN Nr. 145867

I talked to the seller and he told me several things from the car:

- 3 Owners (1.Gohm (Ferrari Dealer in Germany), 2. German Owner, 3. Owner AR Cars/Czech)
- Totaly repaint (he told me that the car has no accident, but ist was totally repaint !?!)
- Ferrari warranty up to 2012
- Servicebook have only one stamp from a dealer (but the car has the longer warranty...)
- He changed the shock absorbers (because of the bad streets in Czech !?!)

- The "Engine Light" goes on and off - he told me, that is "normal" on this cars !?!
Sometimes the light is off for weeks, sometimes it goes on each day !!!!!

Anyone know this car?
Can you help me that I will find a decision!

Thanks and greeting from South Austria
Christian

After reading your post... I would say walk away from the car.

-Repaint
-Engine fault
-Non complete service record

Doesnt sound 100% to me.

How is the pricing of the car compared other Cars at the Austria market?

Nick

at the Austrian market the prices of the cars are 30% higher than in the rest of Europa (Germany,...) :-(

Hi Christian,
my Ferrari dealer in Forl (Italy) have a beautiful (like new) 612 grigio-beige with blue interior dated 2006 (i'm not sure about 2006) with 5000 km, cars with sure history.
If you are interested I can put you in touch, for photos, obviously no obligation to buy.

Giovanni,
I understand,
this car is blue with interior marrone , I know you not like, but owner is my friend, he trade 612 with fiat 500 tribute ferrari for problem of tax visibility ....
Now the car has a grey film.

Bordeaux interiors on 612s are really attractive, especially with silver, gray, black, or blue 612s.

Follow up with the 612.

Buy a paint measure or have a body shop go over it - very simple to detect if there was an accident or not.

I owned a 612 - simply run a test and see what the codes are.

My guess is they are bs codes - gas cap not being tightened or it may need a new one is my guess - regardless see what the warranty covers.

The 612 is an outstanding car and lots of guys repainted the lower black area to match body paint or cover up rock chips. I had a special paint nuvolari so it was laid down well but have seen many crappy paint jobs from the factory so I wouldn't blame someone to perform a much better re-spray,

@Doug: Thanks for your input. I will follow up with this 612. I will go to Vienna to the Ferrari dealer, where this 612 was sometimes and make a test there.
Im working at a car factory in Austria and I can borrow such a paint measure in our factory.

Good Luck - look for leather shrinkage on the top panels.

The sun can kill these cars - had mine re-done suggest ceramic tints.
