456m gta Cant get a reading

Any advice would be appreciated

we cant get a reading, to read or remove a fault light from my 2000 456

Is there something Im missing? Is the 456 different from my 348 that has no problem communicating

Thanks in Advance
Marc

Marc- Completely different from your 456M. 348s have either Motronic 2.5 or 2.7 and your 456M has Motronic 5.2 with an OBDII connector. To read engine codes, get an OBDII reader.

Marc- May be possible the ground wire fix was not done on your car. Ferrari got into all kinds of trouble trying to keep the OBDII connection proprietary, so DOT/EPA got all over their case (fines if not fixed) to make sure the connector complied. Let me know if you want the bulletin showing what they left out of the OBDII connector and how to fix it. Would have thought it would have been done by MY 2000, though.
