599 GTO appreciation

Hate these guys. Ferrari of New England. They do have a savvy buyer though, always seem to pick up the nice cars that have not sold. This GTO has been at Ferrari of Tampa for quite a while:

2011 Ferrari 599 GTO for Sale - 1678211 - duPontREGISTRY.com

Was below 500k, now up to 519k.

2015 458 Speciale', 2014 F12, 2013 458 Rosso Scuderia (To be traded), 2012 MP4-12C, 2010 LP670 SV, 2010 Panamera Turbo, 2009 16M, 2009 Scuderia , 2008 CLK63 Cab., 2002 996 GT2, 1994 RX-7 R2

Mark- That is exactly the GTO I would love to have. Even has the leather and technical cloth interior, because I am not fond of alcantara

Every day I look around, and if nobody is shooting at me, it is a pretty good day.

Would you rather have a 599 GTO than the F12?

Current:F12, F40 , F50 , Enzo , Mclaren P1
Past: 348 spider ,F430, Dino 246 GTS
Waiting: Ghost 2016.

Pablo- Have driven neither and can afford neither. Close call on which one, 730 hp is hard to ignore, but that GTO is something else.

I agree! Specialy that beautiful sound of the GTO.
Also 500K is a lot of money for a car like that.

Opposite here. This one:

Gebrauchtwagen: Ferrari, 599, GTB 599 GTO F1 ***ALCANTARA*CARBON*NAVI*IPOD*PDC**, Benzin,

started at Euro 309k, then dropped to Euro 299k, now at Euro 289k.

and this one is now down to Euro 269k : Gebrauchtwagen: Ferrari, 599, GTB GTO F1 - Limited Edition 1 of 599, Benzin,

Good news is only Euro 50k more to go to hit my target buy price

Boxer, do you have to pay additional taxes when importing a car into the UK?
In Holland we have a very high tax on new cars (BPM). When importing they calculate based on the cars sticker price and age the BPM that you still have to pay. So in average we pay around 25-30% extra on the purchasing value which would be substantial in case of a GTO.

1974 Ducati 750 Yellow Sport
1974 Ducati 350 Desmo Yellow Sport
2010 Ducati Multistrada 1200S
(And a few Alfa Romeo's and Range Rovers)

No, there are no additional fees importing into the UK from another EU country, assuming VAT has already been paid.

That's great, you get the 'profit' from prices going down. Wish that was the case overhere as there's a huge difference in car prices sometimes between Holland and Germany for instance.
Great looking GTO's by the way...

Interestingly I saw the Fifth Gear test of the F12 recently. Vicky reckons it laps Fiorano 3 seconds faster than the 599 GTB and 1 second faster than the 599 GTO. Vicky said the only downside to the F12 is that anyone this side of a racing driver will not get close to scratching the surface to its deeply impressive abilities. The spirit of the front engine V12 Berlinetta continues to burn brightly!

Mark,

for some reason your original link isn't working for me.

And Pablo's question, i think i'd personally get the F12 over the GTO, but that's me. but like Taz said, I cannot afford either one right now...

Maserati GranTurismo MC - Giallo yellow
Porsche 911 GT3 RS - black with orange accents - wife's car
F355 Berlinetta - Giallo Modena, 6-speed manual, carbon sport seats -recently traded in
Porsche Cayenne Turbo S

Not quite but once the P1 was a go, the 599 GTO got parked.
