My new 575M

I traded my much enjoyed 355 Fiorano F1. Rosa Corsa/ beige for a 2003 575M F1. Yesterday I took the new wheels out for a 150 mile ride. I was very impressed withe the ride quality. She was smooth, strong and great sounding. In 2.5 years and 5700 miles, the 355 never gave me a second of trouble. I can only hope the 575 is as reliable. Change is good.

I purchased the car at Ferrari of Long Island. They were fantastic to deal with. The transaction was seamless and a real pleasure. I don't think this car was in their other store in Florida, but I do see a Nero/ Nero on e bay at a place in Florida. I think that car has 19k miles. Mine has just over 12k.

Ferrari of LI

Are they the same as Ferrari of Glen Cove- I used to visit as a child with my father. I know the dealership is in Plainview now but Ive wondered whether the franchise is under the same ownership etc.

You are correct- i was looking at the one on eBay. Yours is obviously a lot nicer. I'm partial to nero/nero. The prices are so good now but I really need backseats for my boys.

Oh yes, more pictures ......

It is the same dealership that used to be in glen cove but under new ownership. Same ownership as Ferrari Fort Lauderdale.

Thanks for putting me in the directory.

I gave serious thought to a 612 for the backseat. I like the lines of the 575 more but for the same price you can get a newer 612. The prices of 612's are stupid low for cars that pushed 300k when new.

Hi Eli, yes she is a thing of beauty and looks to be not only in prstine condition but also well spec'ed. The upgrade split rims look great on the dark colour Maranellos.

I have had my 575M for about 4 years (and 14000 miles) and bar doing the clutch in year one I have had almost nothing but routine servicing at my specialist which is very competitive. My spend over the years has come in subtle upgrades to brakes, exhaust, suspension etc; and a systematic process of changing out seals and other consumables as a preventative measure.

I'm now 135 miles short of the 40000 mile mark and its the first choice if a hard run is being planned....plus it makes me smile every time I pull the cover off and fire up the big V12.

Let the smiles roll.

Cheers
Michael

Hi Eli,
congratulation !!!!
your F575 is a lovely car, and with 19" rims is a beatiful combination and with only 12k is real like a new.
How was the change from V8 to V12 engine?
The sensation is to have under hood infinite HP ... excitant sensation
I picked up a 575 red/beige just three weeks ago (perhaps you've seen my thread, before i had a 550) ,I used it last two week ends for a totally of 200km, I like better km after km ....
Still congratulations

If you like post more photos and impressions, i'm interesting to know your impression of car.

Best regards

Fabio
