CdF 456 6sp

I recall there was recently a lot of discussion about CdF, and I thought I'd share this 456 which recently appeared on eBay. Apparently, this car was owned by Mike Tyson. Any ideas why the rear ride height is so high?

It was Mike Tyson. Surprised he didn't put spinners on it at the time.

Doesn't look right...any chance it was a rebuild using non-standard components?

Rare 95 6 speed, even though all the 95s and 96s were 6 speeds. CdF was a standard Ferrari color for 1995, according to Marcel.

Although it was a standard color, the records I've been able to find tell me there are very few examples of it.
If it was an M, you being seeing a sold sign on it.

You don't need the M. Go for it.

David- CdF was an out of range color for the 456M, so even less likely to find one.

David- Sounds about right. The last 575M, 141817, was CdF, and it was about a $4000 option, a bargain compared to what they charge now.

ride height

Looks like it is out of adjustment. This happened to mine rather randomly. Simple to fix actually. In terms of a car for sale - I would wonder why the owner wouldn't have that looked after before listing it. Makes me wonder what else has been ignored....

It's a long walk to the podium when the destination is not the top step...

Factory "Drag Pak" option. Make sure it comes with the slicks as well, they're hard to come by.

That car actually sold on eBay but the transaction must have fallen through. It is now on its second listing.

I'd be worried that Iron Mike or his posse abused the car. And as Boxer has explained, it's in that 3-4 owner period where cars are not as well cared for.

I have had a 50/50 experience with celebrity cars, either really great cars or really bad cars. Unfortunately this probably does fall into the catagory fo not new enough to be fresh, but not old enough to be mechanically restored...which leaves it as suffering deferred maintenance as most of them are.

I would be curious to see if at least the paint and interior are nice enough to justify putting money into the mechanicals to make it an upper tier car.
