Color question

Can anyone identify the color of this car? Canna Di Fucile perhaps?
If so, any stats on how many were made in this color and what years?

David- I does look like CdF, which was considered an out of range paint option on the 456/456M. Have never seen a color list by model. Have seen a breakout of paint color per year, but do not remember where, and it was so general, I doubt CdF would have shown.

This 575M is CdF. 141817, last one built.

Yes, CdF is a fantastic colour - I've seen very few, but those I have seen were 456 GTs and they came with either Bordeaux or Nero interior. There has been one for sale in France for ages...
Véhicules d'occasion in Sausheim FR

I have never seen a 456M in CdF - Taz, have you?

Another grey and rare colour is grigio alloy (light blue). A 456M in that colour is for sale at a respectable German F dealer: Ferrari Eberlein: Willkommen bei Eberlein Automobile GmbH

As to number produced, I assume you are aware of the colour break down for the non-M UK market? Not sure whether you can draw conclusions for overall production. But in anycase, I do think CdF is very rare.
Number of Ferrari 456GT's produced

Thanks Chris, was not aware of those stats.
I may have to settle for Titanio.
I'm astonished that 20 people wanted the same green Ferrari...

David, my personal opinion: CdF is the best colour for the 456, grigio titanio the best for the 456M. I hope I can report a (slightly crazy) success story in relation to latter species soon. Chris

Terry, very sorry to disagree.
Canna di Fucile FER 703/C (a.k.a. gunmetal grey) wasn't an out of range paint option. It was a standard production color for the 456 in 1994/1995.

Here is #98249 in Canna di Fucile, photographed in April 1995 at Hockenheim, Germany
Other very nice colors on a 456 are Azzurro Hyperion, Nero Carbonio and Blu Swaters. Just my 2 cents here, of course.

Thanks for the info Marcel, as always you're the walking archive.
Any idea how many US cars were produced in CdF?

Chris, David- You might find this thread interesting. I also have production numbers through the Superamerica now from the same source, Maranello Concessionaires, who know the correct person to ask at Maranello.

Indeed I do. Interesting to see that they made almost half as many F50s as 456Ms. So it's a relatively uncommon car.
Thanks Taz.

Marcel- Thanks, I made a bad assumption looking at the 1998 colors available. Do you have something like this for the earlier cars? I only have it for 98, 99, 03, and 04.

This color is very similar to Grigio Silverstone - anyone seen both side by side?

Yes very similar. I love them both.
I think cdf is flatter - gun metal or the barrel of the gun- and yours is metallic, no?

Searching the available online records, out of 600-some cars I can find only two 456Ms in CdF.
Silverstone, while also rare, is probably more common.

Marcel- Thanks. I need to pick up a couple of those paint sample card sets. See them on E-Bay occasionally.

Canna Di Fucile - But not on a Ferrari

I have an Aston Martin V12 GT which is finished from the factory in Canna Di Fucile.

Apologies for the none Ferrari related images, however, I guess it is Ferrari related being as the Aston is clothed in a Ferrari Colour

Canna Di Fucile is a great colour and this is the ONLY one of this Model of Aston to be finished in Canna Di Fucile.

Enjoy the colour!
