I am looking for a 575M with HGTC and as many options as possible (low km of course). I like the Blu Nart exterior and cuoio interior of this 575M.

Gianni- That one has some unusual features, like the Superamerica style steering wheel and Superamerica style paint on the intake manifolds. Carbon fiber is pretty rare, too.

Hello Terry,

Yes, I saw those options, the modular wheels, Daytona seats, chrome front grill, aluminum painted brakes, and scuderia shields, but not sure about other options, including whether it has HGTC or FHP.

I'm hoping Fabio can assist me with the list of options and a PPI. Importing it into Canada is another hurdle, but I'll focus on the PPI first.

As mentioned previously, I'm looking for a 575M with HGTC with as many options as possible or a Superamerica (if the price is not silly). Any assistance from others here would be sincerely appreciated.

Thanks,

Hello Terry,

Now that the RM Auction Arizona Superamerica sold for over $517k, Domani Motor Cars in Florida has raised the price on their Superamerica from $399k to $450k (VIN #: ZFFGT61A850145103). Looks like Jimmy got a great buy in Japan and your friend that bought one last year for $220 got the sale of the decade. Looks like I was a year too late and my dream of owning a Superamerica just went bust :-(

Yikes!

Have the same feeling Gianni about both the F40 and 2 seater Dinos.

Ships that have sailed away?

I have a strange reluctance to pay more for a car that I could have bought cheaper in the past. It's quite stupid really, as rising prices should be more of signal to buy.

David.

Gianni- That was this year for the $220K Superamerica. None of those Superamericas are going to sell for $400K. They are just going to sit there.

If you want an HGTC, just look for one of those. Do not expect to find an HGTC quickly or cheaply.

Or you could go for what has to be the first 575M, 123761. I always thought 123764 and 123765 were the earliest 575Ms, but here is 123761, with 123760 a 550. This has to be the 575M on the cover of the sales brochure, Rosso Corsa with Beige racing seats.

Gianni, just hold your water, when prices are marched up just to match the last overpriced transaction it smells like a bubble to me. And we all know what happens straight after a bubble......that's when you buy!

Terry, do we know when this car was first registered? Interesting car with the race seats.

Michael- The sales listing says June 06, but that seems a little late. Ferrari did keep the preproduction models for several years before updating to production standards and selling through Italian dealerships, but 4 1/2 years seems kind of long. We know 123765 was retained by Ferrari for over two years because the owner has paperwork to substantiate. Who knows? Entirely possible since the last 575M and Superamerica WSM and parts catalog was published in Feb 2006.

And I guess would amount for the very low miles too. So when was it produced mid 2001??

Michael- Would have been aligned with March 01 serial numbers, but the assembly number on 123765 was more a June 01 match. Spring 01 for sure. Do not have the assembly number on 123761.

Gianni,
The 575 advised by Terry is interesting, is in Italy ..... perhaps you live here ....
My advice is, like Terry advise: "If you want an HGTC, just look for one of those but do not expect to find an HGTC quickly or cheaply."
I have one HGTC and my buying experience was like that .... I searched from along time, the first that i found was expired because i not decided fast way, after two years appears another HGTC, due to a strange history, i arrive to see this car from the dealer .... love at first seen ....
I had spend more that i have thinked, but this time i decided fast!!!
My HGTC not was quickly or cheaply but after two years i'm happy like the first day .....

Good luck!

Fabio- Yup, have to jump when you see one.

Incidentally, 123761 was not the red 575M in the sales brochure. That one had black racing seats and she has beige.

Would be interesting to go through the parts on 123761 and see what mix of ECUs she has after such a long time with the factory.

Fabio- That would be great, especially if he could pull a build sheet off of MODIS. Would be interesting to know who the first dealer was to sell her. Those preproduction models often go to favorite son dealers.

Hello Fabio and Terry,

Please let me rephrase my search criteria. I would like to buy a "special" 575M, one that I would keep (marry) for the rest of my life (I'm 61 now). The obvious choices are a 575M Superamerica or a 575M with HGTC. But there are many other factors that could make a "special" 575M, like owning the first 575M that was produced (123761) like Terry mentioned or a 575M loaded with options including Superamerica parts (Ellera 575M).

So I would like to learn more about the Ellera 575M for sale, because I'm very curious about its Superamerica parts. Maybe there's an interesting story behind this car that would make it even more "special" than owning one with HGTC?

Fabio, per favore, can you please assist me with getting more details about the 575M in Ellera, for example: it's original manufacturing and sales history, a list of its options, any service records, etc.

Oh, my favourite Ferrari colours are blue exterior (especially Tour de France Blu or Blu Nart) and beige Daytona interior (especially with contrasting strips and piping). So the blue/beige 575M in Ellera is appealing to me.

My main home is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and I would import the car to Canada by sea (probably Montreal), then transport it by road or train to Edmonton.

Hello Michael,

The RM Auction 575M Superamerica was a very special car: single ownership with only 950 miles, recent full service, Rosso Fiorano over Crema, HGTC, and a long list of options. I doubt we'll see many like it for sale any time soon.

By comparison, the Superamerica in Florida has 5,000 miles, although it is also an HGTC with a long list of options, but is priced $67,000 less. Although at $450k, this car is out of my price range now and they would have to drop a very long way to be reasonable again.

But I appreciate your advice, so I'll be patient and wait for that "special" 575M to come my way.

Thank you,

Homelink

Got a note from Scott Wheeler at Radar-Mirror that Homelink has stopped selling him any units to put in custom installations. He is looking for an alternative, but right now he is dead in the water.

575M in Ellera Italy

Hello All,

Is there anything in the photo below, from the 575M in Ellera Italy, that would indicate that the entire engine is the Superamerica 540 bhp and not just the Superamerica red intake manifold?

Does anyone know if Ferrari made the 540 bhp engine available for "special" order in a 575M?

If not, did Ferrari make the Supermerica intake manifolds available for "special" order (and why wuld anyone want to do it)?

Or is the Superamerica intake manifold an after market addition, along with the Superamerica steering wheel in this 575M?

Thanks,

Gianni- Who knows what you could get from Ferrari, but this 575M looks like it predates the Superamerica by quite a ways. No, you could not do any of those things as an option. The steering wheel is just leather on CF, so easy to request, like leather tunnel covers and rear bulkheads, also not on any option list.

Get the serial number and we will have a better idea. The earliest Superamericas were in the 140xxx serial number range from early Spring 2005.
