Yet another dreamer here.

Hello my name is Jesse, im from Michigan im far from rich actually the complete opposite but doesn't stop me from joining a forum to learn more about a car of my dreams. I have a 2000 Trans Am WS6, I just turned 24 in march...

A big reason why i joined this forum was to actually ask all of you what do you do for your occupation because obviously its going well for the most of you. I am very dedicated to succeeding in life however college has been a waste thus far, as both my degrees in computer science and network security have done nothing for me except put me in debt. I understand Michigan sucks for work and im starting to look into moving so i can become more financially stable and one day buy what all of you have lol. Sorry for preaching but i was reading some posts and seems that everyone has nothing but nice things to say.

Welcome to the forum Jesse! I am also from Michigan. Where abouts are you located? Post some pictures of your WS6, that is one of my absolute favorite cars.

Ciao and Welcome to the " F-LIFE"

Jesse good to have you on board, we are a diverse bunch of boys here with an eclectic range in careers. But where we all are similar (I believe) is that 90% work at what we love or have passion for.

Welcome

Jesse,
Welcome to FL.

Don't let the dream die or think that your education was in vain. It will pay off - be patient.

I grew up south of Detroit ( so far south, it was on the Canadian side...... ). When car sales slump - Detroit/Michigan and Southern Ontario etc. are not the best for employment but things do get better.

A Trans-Am at 24 eh? When I was 24, I drove a 9 year old 4 door Impala - only an AM radio, no A/C, 100k Miles on the clock. So you are doing great!.

Hello from Northern Ireland to. As Nite Life says, we're a well spread out bunch when it comes to distance and funds. It took me 18 years before I was able to make the leap from enthusiast to owner.
I started out with an old battered Ford Capri, taught myself as many skills as I could reasonably master so I would be able to do most of the work myself and keep costs down.

so never give up. Oh and a phot or 2 of the Trans Am would be nice as I know little about cars from across the pond.

Your IT degrees will work for you one day bide your time. At your age I was in an Opel Manta or a Ford Sierra (was a long time ago) the latter being the equivalent to a Ford Taurus

Mind you I only drive a VW and and old Ferrari now

Welcome, Jesse!

Like the others said -- your education was not in vain. It will benefit you through life in many ways beyond just specific job/career training.

Soon your Ferrari dreams will become Ferrari plans.

Welcome back. Good news is the TransAms have been holding value pretty well and the L98 powered ones had torque out the kazoo. I had an L98 powered 87 Vette a long time ago, and it was quick for its time.
