F-car newbie say hello to every one of you

Hi all,
My name is Jason and I am from the south of England.
At present I am looking around for an F355, I am determined to take my time and try to see a few before buying.

I do however, hate to be classed as a tyre kicker, so I will try to get advice from every avenue possible.

I have come from an almost exclusively Japanese performance car background, but being in a position to finally buy my dream car I am going to do it.

Jason, welcome to the forum, stick around and ask away.
We'll get you out of your Japanese sports car habit - I hope you haven't got a modded civic or a MR2 355 replica

lol. No way Archie.

Currently an EVO, but that is the last in a long line of similar cars.

Which Evo? They are great cars, a few years ago I drove an Evo 6 or 7 at Jonathan Palmers in Bedford, had to get it sideways on the rally track. I think it was the most fun I have ever had in a car (apart from when I was about 18 and found out what the back seat of my Chrysler Alpine was for, nuff said ;-) )

It is an EVO 8 mate. Import, but essentially FQ300 spec. There are amazing cars. If it rains i am out in it. But as i only seem to do at most 4k a year an f-car seems a great replacement.

Oh and about the Alpine, you are showing your age there. I have never heard of that particular car. /whistles nonchalantly

the Evo sounds great, I prefer them to Scubi's. Have you ever had a Skyline?

The Alpine was my great, great Grandad's, I borrowed it last year (if only )

Welcome to FLife. There are plenty of very experienced F355 owners here, gothspeed, Chaz, and cgt all really know their stuff. Suggest you take a look at the F355 Buyers Guide.

Welcome to F.L.

You have plenty of British buds here as you can tell.

355 is a great car if you know what you are buying in advance.

Take your time and learn a great deal.

Chaz is very sharp on 355's and can share great info with you. He's a Brit as well.
