Looks like a decent chat forum on here.

I think I will stick around.

Just bought a 1992 Ferrari 512TR (17K miles) to go with my Lamborghini Diablo.

Congratulation on the 512TR, as a drivers car, how does it compare to the Diablo ?

I have gone from a Viper Rt/10 to a stock Viper GTS to a Super Charged 900 hp Viper to a Lamborghini Diablo and adding a Ferrari 512TR.

The 512TR is is the slowest car I have owned in a sports car exotic class. It's a lot easier and smoother to drive than the Diablo. The Diablo is a beast and at times like driving a tank, but I tell you what the lines and the looks of a Diablo can't be beat. Now the 512 TR is a much more smooth refined car than the Diablo is. It drives easier. Visability is allot better and I feel at more ease in that car. I could wear a suit and drive the car and when I got out of it, wouldn't look too out of line. It's more of an elegant car to me. The Diablo I couldn't do that. When I drive that car, I have to be in something comfortible like my jeans. Both cars are not too bad as far as comfort goes. But now compared to the Vipers, the Vipers leave those two little school yard girls crying in my driveway. LOL! My 900 rwhp viper was pretty amazing. It was forceful and tons of torque. As far as gawk factor the Viper and Ferarri 512 TR get about the same attention. The Diablo beats both cars hands down on gawk factor.

Great comparison of the two cars. I've driven the Murcielago a few times and it seems to fit your description of the Diablo with some slight refinement thanks to VW. However, the big tank feel with no viability was still there, I loved it! Having said that, there is just something about the F430 that puts a smile on my face

I almost forgot!

This was my first sports car. I don't a think a Pontiac Fiero counted as a sports car..so this Nissan 300 ZX Twin Turbo was it. It was a fun car, but out of all the cars I have had in sports cars..this one was the slowest. I think I was one of the early ricers.

Then I got the Viper RT/10 when I lived in Tampa FL. Ahh the good ole days!

Then I got more serious about power and custom built my own super charged Viper. 1998 GTS. I made everything you see except the supercharger. I had someone tig weld my design. (I didn't know how to tig back then).

That GTS looks awesome. Curious as to why there is a air scoop on the roof when the engine is clearly in the front. Where was that airflow going to?
