Starting problems

Hi fellow Ferrari owners,

I am a proud owner of an F430 2008 modle. Last month when taking my car out of the garage it just stalled and never started agin. I took it to a local garage and they said that it was a good thing that it was left in nutral. We can to find out that the starter motor was broken so I ordered a new one. To do this we had to disconnect the battery, when fitted the new starter and reconnected the battery all the lights would come on but the car would not start....... No one can at this point tell us why? We then tried to override the starter and got the car started but now it does not engage into gear?

ferrari say they have no idea what it is and I have to bring the car in, however I am in Swaziland and my car would have two be taken 5000 klm to the nearest dealer........

Can anyone in this forum help me to sort out these two issues?

Thanking your reply in advance

I presume that this is an F1 car....

To engage a gear:
Foot on brake pedal
Hood closed
Trunk closed

Are there any warning lights on?

This strikes me as a fault with the F1 system. It is possible that if the faults in the TCU are cleared out, the car will start. If not, you could be looking at a faulty F1 pressure pump, clutch position sensor or gearbox actuator/potentiometers. Without a competent scan tool, it is unlikely that you find a resolution.
