Hello from the eastside of Seattle
Hi everybody! I've been lurking a while and finally created an account since I pulled the trigger on a 2005 F430 coupe earlier this week, and am now waiting for it to be delievered.
I've had tons of different cars, but this is my first Ferrari. I traded my 997.2 Turbo S for this one. Prior to that, I had a Gallardo. The move to the Porsche proved to be a mistake, it was quite a let down after the Lamborghini (despite being faster!) and I decided that I just need a car with a bit more drama.
Rather than get another Gallardo, I decided to try something new, and I'm glad I did. My brief experience with the F430 so far indicates that it will be a great car to live with (it's my daily driver).
Prior to buying the F430, I had it checked out by Alex Traverso in Phoenix, who seems to be highly regarded by the Ferrari community. He was really great to work with, and if you are buying a car in Arizona, I recommend him!
He found the car to be in superb mechanical shape and gave me his blessing. There are a few cosmetic issues that can be addressed, but I don't need a concourse car anyway since I'm getting to be driving it every day. Given what I paid, I think it's fair.
The car is Grigio Titanio, has 15k miles, black interior, daytonas, shields, CCBs, and probably a more elaborate aftermarket stereo than I would have installed. Unfortunately, no yellow tach, and I'll probably need to do some carbon fiber interior bits here and there. After new tires, first priority will be to get the aftermarket exhaust brackets and remote valve control installed.
Here's a picture, maybe I'll post some more when I get the car home and cleaned up.
