Hi Steve is that Mundurah, Western Aus? Sure looks like Aus in your pic. Welcome on board. Great looking 355 you have there, and some proper wide open country to use it in.

Cheers

Steve- Welcome. Very pretty F355. Looks like some nice driving roads in WA. As long as the LEOs will leave you alone.

Yes some great roads here. There is a little section about 10k long where I regularly ring it's neck, nice and twisty with a couple of straights where you can get up to 220 k! Have to say the cops over here are tossers!!! They will book you for being 5 k over the limit!!

Thanks! I'm not really a big forum user but I do find them a great source of information. I like to do as much work as I can to my car ( as I'm a poor bugger ! ) so these places really help. I'm not knocking f chat but sometimes you look at a thread and half of it is people arguing black is white which I'm also guilty of but seems to be different on this site. Also the 355 seems to get a bad rap at times. Hey I know they have their issues but I absouletly love this model !! It's my first f car and it took me ten years to save up for it so maybe that's why I love it so much. If it breaks I will fix it and continue to love it regardless of cost and after three years of owner ship my love of the car is stronger than ever!! To all the other owners all ferraris are special but I'm sorry nothing matches a 355 at full chat in a tunnel!! I rest my case

Steve- I really like the F355. Really low and classic styling. About the only thing that sounds better than an F355 is an F50, and there is a big difference in price. If you can do the work yourself, including pulling the engine occasionally, and have the correct tools, she should treat you well.

Hahaaa yeah can't convince Mrs 575er to leave the Fair City. I'm 18 years here now and never lose the pull to go back to Aus especially the wide open spaces and vast blue sky.....oh the vast blue sky....

The 355 was the undisputed sports car king in its day and that breeding stands to it today. I can't imagine anything more lif affirming than an early morning run on some of the endless country roads out there with the 355 on full chat. Just hope you don't meet skippy while doing it!

Cheers

Steve, that is one great attitude you got ! Respect.

I suppose I do not need to tell you not to get bothered by those that seem to say things.

My very first Ferrari was a 1997 F355 Berlinetta manual. Owned it for three years and the car was simply splendid and trouble free during my ownership (I was the second owner).

Would be great if you share your impressions, works and what not with us here.

Off topic question:

How long have you two been dating? (see Ed's avatar)

Giving him pointers to share with Kimi perhaps?

Actually I really wanted a yellow one but the blue has really grown on me. I can't do red! Every red car and motorbike I have ownedI've written off so it's not my lucky colour!
