New member; buying an f130

I had a deal two days ago on a gorgeous car in Houston. I moved quickly but not quickly enough and another buyer's money arrived before mine.

Possibly interested in a 360. Wouldn't mind saving the money, but I'm worried about the belt service issue.

I'm looking forward to the experience.

Belt change on a 360 is routine for a skilled Fcar mechanic so no worries except the added maintenance costs every 3yrs over say a 430.

Traveling to Ohio in the morning to see my new car. 2004 360 F1 Spider in nero daytona. The PPI is clean (the inspector praised the car and its options). I feel like a kid on Christmas eve. Inspector found dashboard backlight was out. That alone covered the cost of the inspection.

Oh oh, Cheng lost out on another car in his region

Taking delivery and flying home being January? When you take delivery, remember it's your car - drive, drive, drive!

Dennis- Congratulations on the 360. 04s have all the latest F1 tweaks, so you should be very happy with the car.

Indeed you should be. Congrats, I KNOW you'll love the car.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.

Noticed you are in Austin....Im in San Antonio....visit Austin very frequently. Let me know if you are ever out this way, and we will make a little convoy thru the Hill Country roads I have found that really are awesome to drive around in an F-Car. Congrats and be sure to post pics!

Thanks, all, for the well-wishes. The 360 will arrive at its new home in Austin tonight. I'm looking forward to gaining understanding of it (especially the F1 shift) and experiencing Ferrari engineering in the next few weeks. The forecast for Austin is around 80 degrees F tomorrow, there's a road with an 85 mph speed limit just a few miles away, and it's a Spider: Do the math and you'll know where to find my Fcar and me manana.

Whoa!

I really love my wife and kids, but this car is right up there in my book.

Here's a photo from my front window.

I actually partook in the running of the Toll-Road on Sunday.....from SATX all the way to Georgetown....and back again.

An absolutley perfect road for a spirited drive....our own little version of Autobahn heaven is what we have down here.

Terry; Tan interior; full leather; black Daytona inserts. Exterior is that great Nero Daytona metallic. It looks bronze in sunlight. I'm getting the feel of the F1 transmission, but still have to resist the impulse to reach for the shifter from time to time. Letting the car shift down sequentially on its own when coasting to a stop is very cool. It's impressive how its approximately in the correct gear if you hit the gas again in mid coast.

C. Bond; I'll be watching for you on the 130 toll road. Unfortunately, unlike an autobahn, there's still an upper speed limit. I'd like to really stretch the horses' legs.

Dennis- Looks like a hold down for the tool kit or the tire repair kit. Does your tool kit look like this one or is it different?

Congratulations.

How hard is to get on the Circuit of America's for you guys who live so close?

That would allow some serious stretching of the legs.
