Welcome Christian to FerrariLife. I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay here ;)

You're keeping the suspense :) What car do you have? I bet a F430? ;)

All the best,
Stef

tazandjan 03-30-2012 02:03 PM

Christian- Welcome again to you and your F430. Note you also have a 356 SC. My first car was a 1957 356A Normal. Not much power (60 DIN), but fun to drive. Long time ago, though, 1967.

Fiorano 03-30-2012 02:22 PM

Welcome to FL Christian.

You live in a nice part of the world. "Close to Nurburgring" is a fine location for all thing automotive.

Tell us about your cars (the Porsches and all! :))

Ciao and welcome to the Life

-CD- 03-31-2012 11:18 AM

Thanks a lot for the warm welcome. :)

I will start an extra thread in the F430 section,
because i made some upgrades and that woud be too much for this thread.

To my Porsche passion i can say that the 356 SC is the only Porsche by now.

My 993tt is for sale: DLS Showroom

Before i build that 993tt, i build a 964 Carrera 2 "sleeper" with turbo and watercooled intercooler without rearwing and i made two 993 Cabrio projects and some projects for friends.

I know that i will go back to the Porsche aircooled section again but it will always be together with Ferrari because the horses grap my heart in a very big way. :)

Greetings Christian

Granucci 03-31-2012 12:51 PM

Herbie, our 356 is a California black plate car, second owner survivor,
with matching numbers (body, transmission and engine),
some nice extras, 100% untouched original interior
and complete history with all paper works and all bills from 65 till today. :)

Yes! :D

And it feels great and driving is big fun! :)

The car has the ultra rare hub excenter from factory
and so the ergonomy is really nice.

tazandjan 03-31-2012 02:05 PM

Christian- That brings back fond memories, thanks. Mine was light blue and worn out when I got her. $750, 40 mpg and 40 mpq.

-CD- 03-31-2012 02:15 PM

Light blue is one of my favorit 356 colours! :)

My Ex-964 "Sleeper", Carrera 2 look but an undercover turbo... :)

Was a pleasure to drive with the normal look but 1.250 Kg and 400 PS.

I keep on posting here... :)

I just saw that all newbies post the pics of the car in their introducing thread,
so i will do so, too.

My F430 is a 2008, 11.000 km, nero daytona, ceramic brakes yellow, scuderia shields,
carbon interior at the dashboard, sound system, black leather with black stiching and daytona style seats.

This is the first pic i saw from the seller:

I made the deal not directly with the pre-owner.
Ferrari Zender made the transaction for me and
in the time they pick up the car, i made a little shopping tour for parts! :)

First purchase was a 430 Scuderia wheel set and a set titanium wheelbolts.

And when i pick up the car, it was lowered and the Scuderia wheels were mounted.

The day i pick up Mr. Ed in the showroom, what a day! :D

After that a little stop at the work shop and spend a look on the fantastic 288 GTO from Mr. Zender. :)

And a box from italy! :)

btw, it was not a big shopping tour and 1 week nonstop work, it was a 3 month project... ;)

[QUOTE=-CD-;187223]I keep on posting here... :)

All your cars look beautiful and showroom new!

Threads can never have too many pictures - love all the CF and the titanium caps all 6 of them. If you didn't buy the center caps I have a set let me know.

It's a good day to do some detailing - thanks for the motivation :)

tazandjan 04-01-2012 08:43 AM

Christian- She is coming along nicely and all the carbon fiber and titanium is really dressing her up for show. Very pretty.

I added a 430 Scuderia watertank to add the carbon cover to match the optic from the rest of the engine bay.

After engine bay the interior get some upgrades :)

First i like the look of the all black interior details from the Scud,
so i change the dash vents and the climate control:

and so i send it to a galvanic firm and they made it in black chrome and i added a set of black eloxated aluminium screws :)

And the last upgrade was a lightweight diffusor which a friend made for me in carbon.
i like the optic from the integrated fins a lot...

tazandjan 04-01-2012 11:31 AM

Christian- She looks great. At the rate you are investing money in her, you could almost have bought a Scuderia.

Thanks! :)

And yes, a low mileage 2008 F430 + upgrades is not big money away from a Scud.

That i have an eye on a pair sportseats make it a little bit more stupid... :D

But i love the F430 with the perfect GT and the little Racer character and i love full leather interiors and so i made my choice. :)

A grey Scud with full leather and i'm in :) but i didn't want to upgrade a original Scud with Alcantara to full leather.

But a Scud is a dreamcar, too!

550JM 04-01-2012 12:09 PM

Christian, welcome to Flife. Great looking car and very nice upgrades!
Now the only thing left is to paint the dog black.....:-)

Fiorano 04-01-2012 12:31 PM

Some great modifications Christian, and great pics to show the detail. Nice work.
