Dino 308 GT4 measurements

I am thinking of possibly bidding on a 1979 Dino GT4 in an upcoming auction, but before going forward I need to know it would clear my driveway, which is steeply angled upward from the street.

This message is a plea for owners of this model to measure ground clearance and front overhang from the forward front tire edge.
Thanks for any insight into this.

Cheers,

James

did you bid?

I assume you aren't "Scott SF" who won it.

Nice looking car!

James,

Mine is 9 inches. However, I have seen a lot of 308's at different ride height, Italian spring metallurgy being what it was. The bigger issue with these cars is the rear springs collapsing over time due to engine heat. I shimmed my rear springs with 10 mm spacers I had a machine shop make.

My advice is to aske the auction handlers to make the measurement on the car you are thinking about.
