Tempted to buy... High Milage? Ferrari 430

Love the color and very interested in this car.

2005 Ferrari F430 Coupe F1 For Sale | Etobicoke ON

F1-Pump, Clutch, Tires, Brakes, Fluids will all be changed prior to purchase. Any flags or concerns?

I am in Canada, but this is an American car with high mileage. Should I be concerned?

Very nice and I do not consider her high mileage at all. She is 9 years old and has been driven 3000 miles a year on average. Mine has almost that much mileage.

Color looked like Grigio Titanio, but could have been Grigio Silverstone. Hard to see from the photos.

Nice Ferrari nicely priced.

Ferrari's need to be exercised - imagine sitting in a chair for 300 days a year.

Check the paint / under carriage and windshield for rock chips - good luck!

Love the wheels

Sharp car. Well priced.

I think the quote attributed to Jim G says it best:

“Not putting miles on your Ferrari is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she’ll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.”

This ones been driven.

I'd buy it.

Thanks truth is I didn't expect to find a ferrari I liked this early the dealer had other ferrari at the shop but I loved this one. Not the typical red but a solid dark grey.

Could barely see rock chips given the kms not to mention entire front is protected with 3m

I checked the under carriage and this has a skid plate. Not sure if there is damage beneath. The other ferrari all had paint scrapped from the bottom. Interior was great.

Shoot....am I really going to get a ferrari......yikes

Sounds like a really good deal. If you sit on the fence too long, all that happens is you get indentations in your rear end and have no Ferrari to drive.

Those skid plates work well on the 360/F430 family because there is something solid so the bolts work well.

There will always be things on most used Ferraris you wished you could change. Not much on this one that needs changing. What is the name of the paint job, Titanio or Silverstone?

She looks fantastic to me! The mileage is only considered high in America, here you would struggle to find one where mileage was that low. Go for it.

If JG is right:
“Not putting miles on your Ferrari is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she’ll be more desirable to her next boyfriend.”

Does that mean by analogy Americans are not having sex?

Excuse me while I go out for a drive.

Thanks for this. This is what I needed to hear. I bought a low KMs Aston Vantage, and you wont believe the number of times i rented a car to see the GF to limit my KMs on the car. This is why I am opting for a F430 with a bit higher kms.

Glad to hear you're changing your ways. What did you buy the car for? To drive, surely? Depreciation is a b1tch in any case, to make you feel better drive it more and see the $$$ per mile come down like a brick!

I am having issues confirming the paint. Looking at the paint code http://www.ferrarilife.com/forums/at...aint-chart.jpg it looks more like silverstone, however dealer confirmed it is Grigio Titano FER. 3238.

Its a dark silver, and not a light silver.

Yellow calipers - post factory
Scud Shields - post factory
Powder coated wheels - post factory

Should this have any push on price?

It looked like Grigio Titanio to me. Grigio Silverstone is almost light black.

This should help you see the true colors.

Titanio is darker than nurburgring. I'd describe the former as gray, the latter silver.

This is a pretty good representation of Titanio. One of my favorite colors and much darker than Argento.

Thanks, the result of the PPI was pretty straight forward, it was everything we anticipated.
  1. Clutch - Dealer took care of (not the flywheel as it was deemed acceptable)
  2. Tires - Dealer took care of (Michelins I believe)
  3. Few minor scuffs - I will have this polished

F1 pump was replaced last year.
Exhaust manifold was already taken care of
Rods etc (not sure exactly what this is but it was taken care of or is fine)

There were a few items not covered on the PPI that I inquired about such as spark plugs (dealer took care of) air filter (dealer took care of) and was told ride height had been adjusted.

I live in downtown Toronto (as did the previous owner) so hopefully I will not have issues with that. Although I was up last night wondering if it will make it in my underground parking.

Daytona (servicing) was great to deal with. As a first time buyer I do have a lot of questions and Alex and the team were helpful to discuss over the phone. He knows the car well and it was reassuring speaking to him. Glad he was down to earth and helpful. I hate people that show attitude, but that was certainly not the case here.
