Had 2004 360 inspected, what do you guys think of these results

I asked for your help in this thread:

http://www.ferrarilife.com/forums/fe...ce-2004-a.html

I just had the car inspected and I attached the results below.

I made an initial offer of 90k and the seller thought it was low. I had also set the precedent that I would deduct items from inspection. Any other thoughts?

Don't get attached

Red is harder to find but there are many black and silver for less than 90 with records and less miles. Red is a premium but still many examples out there for 90-100 with records, service etc.

But if you are set on a 2004 red six speed spider, the average price (asking) for all cars with less than 16K mileson cars.com is over 105K.

That said, the PPI did not look that bad. Not a lot of detail. Scratches are consistent with the car's obvious use with the miles.

If the seller thinks you are low, then walk- no sense in trying to convince him/her. Time will do that.

run don't walk!

Having been in your shoes, i would walk away. especially when the seller doesnt want to work with your generous offer of 90K. If i were seller,i would take your money in a heartbeat and say Thank you.

It is an '04 which demands more money but you need to look at how much it would cost to take care of the engine leaks. the unknowns you mentioned in your other thread can easily get your bring home price near the 100K mark. By that time, i'd be looking at a hgher mileage F430...won;t get into my shopping experience as we are approaching my anniversary of when i started Fcar shopping... good luck and feel free to PM me as i came close to buying a red 360 coupe with 6 sp stick last fall too.

The majority of the inspection was cosmetic, very little mechanical evaluation.
To truly determine an offer price, even though it is a very low mile car, I would want a thorough mechanical evaluation as well.
I agree with the above that 100K is too high, and if a thorough PPI checks good, 90K is still a fair price for both parties.

Scotts - It's a coupe, how does that impact your valuation?

It does need belts and fluids, the clutch they said it feels good, but they are trying to figure out if it's measurable.

So the consensus is that 90k is ok, even requiring this maintenance?

We are talking USD here?? $$$$$ Only with this being a global forum I can`t see any currency signs?

Anyway in my humble opinion $82K should be your max offer & walk away & wait for the dog & bone to ring.

Also did you pay for that inspection? As the attached note looks pretty amateurish...

That's not a PPI...I wouldn't accept that documentation if I was buying a clapped out Toyota.

The scan was a preliminary document until he got the formal stuff today.

I am speaking about $90k USD, thank you for keeping me accurate.

I've also added images to the original entry above.

i wouldn't pay 90k for that car. But what do I know? Also would consider higher miles/less money. buying a low mile/garage queen in a 360 seems like a waste of money to me. YMMV.
