I pick mine up on Tuesday. A 2008 F430 Spyder, 7700 miles, and checked out by a Ferrari Master Technician for 3-hours . . . thumbs up!

I paid $ 164,500.00

Why the fence

If one is interested there are cars at all price points for both coupe and spider for options and years. The differential is broadly speaker like to like 10k more for the spider.

It does not sound like its price point ?

Care to share more?

Since you asked.... Ive located a great coupe at $145-$150k but am on the fence as this is a summer car for me and my friends are urging me to consider a spider. They also suggest it will be easier for me to resell in my market in a few years. Ive spent quite a bit of time online searching and speaking to dealers and cant seem to find a quality car with low mileage at $160k. My gut is that market is close to $165-$170k and most dealers are advertising in the low $180s. Im also committed to 08/09 as they upgraded the F1 programming and made ceramic brakes standard those years. They were also the last production years for the car so I assume all the kinks were refined by then. Finally, I was very open on color and now am refining my thinking. Although Im flexible on popular colors Im partial to the grigio alloy with a light interior.

Go with what you want

The F430 market is not fully depreciated but- you could try it and see if you like it. The spider is a different car and perhaps different driver. Yes, in STL there is one season for Fcars and it is interchangeable between coupe and spider.

That said, it is a car not a marriage. It can be upgraded without a real hassle.

Lastly, buy what you want not what you want to be able to sell. I agree with the 08/09s for the ultimate version but ( others may disagree) these years will have some more depreciation to go as well.

Just my thoughts.

I personally am not a convertible guy and will always go with coupes.

Talking to myself but

Sheky:

The price is about 10 k/year for spider. Very 08/09 Spiders out there but for example FCI in NC has one of almost every year. It seems like 10k per year is almost their formula altered by miles, color and options.

Used Vehicles Foreign Cars Italia-Greensboro, NC Aston Martin, Maserati, Porsche Raleigh, NC Winston-Salem, NC

Consider a 16M?

Actually I think this one is priced a little high. 2005, 18,000 miles, no carbon fiber. Also need to ascertain remaining clutch and whether or not manifolds have been replaced.
