Buying my First Ferrari

Hey all!

Been a long time reader here as this has been my go to site for research and information. Thanks to all for their knowledgable responses, it has helped immensely.

After months of looking for the right car for the right price, I am now ready to pull the trigger on a car. Just wanted to get your thoughts.

It is a 2007 F430 Spider, red w/ tan, F1, with a decent amount of options. The dealer stated they recently replaced the tires as well as some additional small work. My only concern is the mileage, which is in the 25-30k range.

Wondering what you think about it? The car is listed in the $120-130k range. What do you think would be a good price?

Thanks all in advance!

There are a lot of unknowns, so for us to offer pricing, well, it's going to be fairly general.

But a car with that number of miles would ideally be close to $120k. Good luck!

Thanks. I am waiting on service records/inspection report/carfax from the dealer. I should have a much better idea then on the variables.

Still a good idea to order your own independent Pre Purchase Inspection at the mechanic of your choice. But, it comes down to your personal risk tolerance and the car in question. With that many miles, I would recommend a PPI.

Welcome to Ferrari Life and hopefully she works out for you. Just remember she is a used car being sold by used car salesmen, so have her checked over by an independent expert.

+1 to both Raj and Taz above.

$120-130k seems like a fair price, but get a PPI from an independent not connected with the seller.

welcome to F Life and good luck

Thanks all! I will definetly get a PPI as the one provided does not go into clutch wear. Anyone have experience with Ferrari of Houston for PPI's?

I'm working with them now for the records of a car they sold.
Although they've been very polite, they have been zero help.
They also take 3-4 days to return calls or e-mails.

Hope you have better luck and service.

Of all the narcissists I know, I love me the most.
