Collectors car catalogue

I am interested in purchasing a classic Ferrari both for the love of the cars as well as for potential investment purposes. Is their any book that would detail the specifics for all of the models including the total production numbers, etc for modern generation models from 246 to present day models? Thanks in advance!

modern/present day models will not be investments, they will only be cars. I think for a Ferrari to be a investment you will have to stick with early 1970's and earlier cars. I am not even sure a 3x8 is a investment, they might not drop anymore but I doubt they will go up in any significant value. Certainly 355,360,430 will not, they are a car and like all cars depreciate.

I think the limited edition models like the 348 SS, 355 Fiorano, Barchetta, Superamerica, 512M, Scuderia/16M, Challenge Stradale, will all be collectible at some point. The 3X8s as a whole aren't..... Just too many made, unless you're talking fiberglass or a Michelotto. Then again as nice cars get snatched up, value will go up.

There are several books out there, but many have some glaring flaws when it comes to accurate discussion of some of the models.

The buyers guide section of this website provides a great resource for most models though so I would start there.

Current: 85' GTS QV
It's a simple process...... it's just complicated by human beings....
