Auto Gallery In LA for PPI?

Anyone have any thoughts or experience (positive or negative) with Auto Gallery for a F355 PPI?

Hello TrojanFan and welcome to FL. I suspect that you are somehow related to USC ?

Cannot help you with Auto Gallery with zero knowledge, but if you are looking for PPI in Southern California, I would recomment that you contact Michael Sheehan (broker and historian and so forth) and I am sure he can direct you to a shop or two that you can feel good with PPI.

Good luck.

Guyincognito here on Flife just went to Autogallery McLaren and checked out a car for me. Of course, it was just exterior, and also viewed the car on a lift to check for scrapes, but he is a great guy.

no problem!

I can do a visual inspection if you'd like.

Auto Gallery does do PPI's, which is rare for dealers around here. IIRC they charge $500 or so.

otherwise try calling Fast Cars in Torrance/Redondo Beach or Fusion Motorsports in Chatsworth; or track down Damian Forbes, he's an independent and very good but elusive. he's the Jason Bourne of Ferrari mechanics :)

really good.

Thanks for the information. Auto Gallery wants $350 for a visual, road test and computer diagnostic but jumps it up to $900 for a compression leak down which seemed high.

Sounds reasonable to me, considering the amount of work. $350 is really cheap.

Hopefully you are a USC fan?

I had a PPI performed on a 575, that ultimately I did not purchase. The PPI was conducted by Joe San Paulo at Concours Automotive in La Habra. Joe was recommended to me by others on the Forum and he seems to have good write ups here and in Ferrari Chat.
