performance available for 308 GTSi?

Hey y'all:
I'm considering a 1980 308 GTSi.
I'm more about sound than power, but I struggle with the idea of 214hp. I almost cannot imagine driving ANY car with 214hp.... let alone a Ferrari.

So my questions is: are there performance modifications available for this car? What have y'all done? What is the best solution? what CAN be done?

Buy a faster car if you want more. 360 would be better starting Ferrari. Or buy a ZO6, faster than both.

Thanks. 360 is out of my cash budget, and I won't finance.
Not sure why you think a 360 would make a "better starting Ferrari"? Unless you meant it would be a "better-starting Ferrari"?

Get a 308 QV. Not much difference in price, but a lot more hp. Go to the projects section and you will see improvements for most of the 308 models. Or you can be like Mark and put a V12 in the 308.

I would never modify another car, other than exhaust. Go drive one and see if the drive and sound overcome your objections on sound. Still I would just buy a ZO6, 2007's less than 50k.

dood.... I heard ya! :ears:
But like I said in the very first post: the speed is not the important part. I'm not looking for a fast car. I have and have had some very fast cars. And I've spent my time in some very, very fast stuff on the racetrack, it;s not what I'm looking for.
But when I find the car that SOUNDS right... I don't want to be disappointed that it won;t get out of its' own way. :wall:
