348 pre purchase questions

Could anyone direct me to a thread of mechanical questions to ask when buying a 348?

Its fine knowing what questions to ask, but will you know what to do with the replies, or will the other party know the answers and can you trust them ? They probably won't know, so best to get an expert to do a PPI and give you an opinion.
Any 348 will have some things wrong with it, you just need to know how important they are.

The 348 is a good car, just remember its age, and the only major prob , is the heater motor. Can give lots of probs, apart from that a cracking car, and when de catted and fitted with a good exhaust awsome sound. My friend has a 348 and i just love the sound of it.

agreed, but don't shy away if not all there. I believe a 'stacked up paperwork trail' relates best to what major things have been done in the last 3-5 years to which we all know the major is the key on 355/348s.

these cars are getting older and guaranteed to start having a defunct library of ownership paperwork on repairs. Some are not, which shows a great pride in keeping that vehicle pampered if not regarded.

The key on the cars is 'what has been done lately' and most certainly in regards to the major by WHO and WHAT, which is important as it gets.

Go to ferraridatabase.com and you can download owners manuals and workshop manuals, plus some other 348 technical data for free.

A guy locally inherited one. Went to a dealer for an oil change, left with a $40k bill, if that helps your decision at all.

That sillyness is not limited to nor common to 348's.
