Total volume of 1995 F355s produced?

Hello all,

My first post after having been a lurker for a few months now - very excited to join and thanks already for all of the helpful material you have all contributed on this forum! You really help a guy get comfortable with the ins and outs of (potential) Ferrari ownership.

All that said - I feel a bit selfish but my first post is a request for your collective expertise. Where can I find out, as "officially" as possible, exactly how many F355s were produced as each of 1994 and 1995 models? If there is a breakdown of GTB/GTS/Spider, that's just a bonus.

I have looked on the F355 registry so I've done some guessing / extrapolating based on sample size vs total production run for all model years... but if someone has any more precise info I would really appreciate it!

Thanks and cheers,

D

Ferrari F355 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Pretty sure all early run cars in US are officially 1995 models.

4,871 Berlinetta
3,717 Spider
2,577 GTS

Figure 1/5 are '95s

Figure 10-30% are wrecked

Leaves you with (1995 only)

700-900 Berlinetta
500-675 Spider
350-450 GTS

Thanks Rick, appreciate the quick response.

Is there a way to get "official" numbers for total 1995 GTB run, or close to that? I would be applying for collector plates here in Canada and the car has to be >15 yrs old as well as limited production run (<1500 of that model in that model year).

Cheers!

About the only thing you could do is call Ferrari...but from what I've heard/read it'll be a cold day in hell before they give out this information.

Good luck with the plates!

Rick- My numbers are bit different from yours and came from Maranello Concessionaires, who get them directly from Ferrari.

F355B 4915
F355 GTS 2577
F355 Spider 3714

D- You probably can qualify for the collector plates by using this rationale: Total production years F355B 1994-1998 (5). Total production 4915. Average production per year 4915/5=983. Best we can do.

Total Ferrari production in 1995 was 3144 cars and they were also producing F355 GTS, F355 Spider, 456, and F512M models at that time. Plus a few F50s. So production of the Berlinetta had to have been less than half the total. At least it sounds good enough to get you the plate.

Rick, Terry - thank you both so much. Everyone's so helpful, I really appreciate it.

Terry, the total 1995 production number is a great thought. I have sent in a request to the head of collector cars at the insurance company so we'll see what comes out - I'll be sure to share the results!

In the meantime, PPI coming up in the next week... fingers crossed for good compression numbers and no cracks in the headers.

Cheers,

D
