Difference between 2005-2008 F430

Hello everyone

Great site! So glad I found it.
I'm in the market for a F430, my first Ferrari.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me the difference between the 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 models. To the untrained eye, they all look very similiar but that is why I came to the experts.
Any advice would be extremely appreciated.

Thanks
brian

Brian- Welcome to Ferrari Life. There were several updates on the F1 system made during the 05-08 timeframe, and the CCM brakes became standard in Fall 07 for the 08 models. At about the same time, a standard CTEK battery charger and wiring replaced the optional boat anchor Zivan charger.

One easy way to see for yourself is to go through the parts catalogs and see what was changed. Ricambi has them online. Concentrate on the control stations pages, because that is where the biggest changes were made, but after that you can page through and see what else was changed.

Welcome to Ferrari Life Brian. Tell us a bit about your Ferrari hunt. What country are you in? Spider / Coupe or considering both?

Welcome to FLife

It may be better to consider each car individually vs the year produced depending on what you are specifically looking for.

Each 430 really takes on it's own life.

Thanks for all the quick replys. Seems like an enthusiastic bunch!
I have always been fascinated by Ferrari and only now am I in a position to purchase one. A friend of mine owns a F430 and that is where the attraction began but maybe i should consider a 360 Spider first?? I'm really not sure what to do. My max $$ will be $150-175k for now but I would love to find one for less. It will be a second vehicle and not a daily driver and will (probably) never be on a track. The Spider intrigues me but so does the Coupe, they are both beautiful. I'm located in the midwestern part of the US.
Thanks to you all

If your budget extends to $175K, I would look at a Scuderia if I were you, especially if you are stuck on a mid-engine V8. Good Scuds have been trading in the $170K range recently.

There are also 07 599s also trading in that $170K region. In a straight line, a 599 will eat a Scud alive, but not in the twisties.
