exhaust for a 14 cali

Hope I am posting in the right section, I was looking to get some aftermarket exhaust for my Cali and wanted some ideas from the experts...also wanted to do something with the front like a nice diffuser. Any help would be much appreciated.

As you've recently just picked her up, why not live with her awhile before you try to force change to her lipstick & underwear, she's quite sexy & loud as she is....

Makes sense to live with her for a while as she is, you'll discover she's pretty special, especially is she's a 30 & has the Handling Speciale Pack fitted too.

Ive owned my for just over a year & I exercise her daily, she's very neutral handling, great turn of speed, terrific exhaust note, especially once you know how to match the revs to the gear changes, overall a very well rounded & enjoyable hardtop convertible everyday Ferrari....

Hope you enjoy yours as much!!!

Not needed Dave....if warhogs is a 30 it'll be sonorous already & to add a bypass IMO will ruin its addictive musical tune. Its a great tune when you know how to play that V8

Hey Pete's the expert here but I'll take a stab at it. I think the 30 on the newer Californias related to redesign producing an 30 extra hp and possibly 30kg less weight??????????

Thanks for the heads up Pete regarding the 30. I unplugged my 09 Cali's valves and that sounded great. Combined with high flow air filters it burbled on downshifts, filled my ears with sound and growled where appropriate. Heaven.

David.

As Dave said above, its 30kg lighter due to different alloys etc & 30bhp more, however there are other changes made to the ecu & engines inners, so it's way more responsive than the standard Cali ever was....add in the the Handling Speciale option pack, which gives it a sharper turn in, circa 10% sharper & stiffer suspension all round, as well as a few extra tweeks here & there make them handle much more a racer....as a total package its is spot on the money as a drivers tool, no surprise really as every final edition model of any Ferrari Ive driven is same, take the different focus between a standard 360 & 360CS as an example or my F430 Spiders v's my 16M. In my experience the final evolution versions of any model is always much better than the originals, F430 v's Scud, 599GTB v's 599 HGTE, 458 Italia v's 458 Speciale etc, the list goes on, but Im sure you get the gist of what Im saying.

Dave, I owned the 09 Cali for 7 weeks, hated its spongy ride, crap noise & ease of steering, even at £165k it just wasn't special at all. In 2013 I tested & bought a Cali 30 for a convertible need and drove from Scotland to Cote d'Azur with my wife & dog, it ate the miles & I bonded especially after racing around the mountains with Habsy in his 458, it was a revelation compared to the original....3 months later on my return to Scotland I ordered a 30 with the Handling Speciale pack, after driving them back to back....& a year on I still have her, she's an everyday 16M in a way and great for putting our border terrier Hamish in the back seat....anyone who thinks these aren't now serious Ferrari's is completely mistaken IMO, whereas the original was a bit of a girly Ferrari, the 30HS has grown up into a proper drivers Ferrari....

Pete, I know what you mean by your criticisms. With due respect to other 09 California owners it is a nice car but not a great car. Not all models can of course be great cars. I am very impressed with your evaluation of the 30. Even though I loved my Cali the 30 seems very special. 16M like, convertible hard roof and sociable rear seats. Enjoy them guys.

David.

Thanks for all your posts I really appreciate the knowledge, mine is a 30. It's an awesome car and being 6"7 the most comfortable for me and my wife and 2yr old, that's how I sold the wife on it, we can put a car seat in it.?

Mike, after 20k miles in my 3 I can tell you they have a very capable & beautifully balanced chassis, so feel comfortable to lean on it & exploit its fuller potential once you get used to it & feel at one!!!

Happy motoring, enjoy!!!

Get the Capristo Exhaust valve remote bypass. Makes a huge difference. I install these on all my newer Ferrari's. I can't stand the valves opening and closing all the time, so this allows me to chose on the fly.
