550/575 dash swap

Hi all, I am hoping somebody can tell me............?

Will a 575 dash fit a 550?

I have found a used 575 dash that I can have re trimmed in the correct colour, which means I could continue driving the 550 until the day of the swap. Possible?

TIA

James- The two dashes are completely different.

Would the top bit (where the gauges are housed) not fit on top of the 550 one (obviously, inclusive of all 575 gauges so get rid of the 550 ones). I've studied the pics before and certainly looks doable, but then these are judged by the eye since I don't have technical drawings with measurements.

Surely this is the important part of the 575 dash since it looks much better/more modern. The rest is slightly different but won't make a big visual impact if it's swapped or not.

Bas- Hard to do since the 575M has a digital instrument panel with a 2 Mb chip that talks to the Motronic ECU through the CAN. Anything is possible with enough money, but I do not think it is practical. Bumpers yes, instrument panel, no.

John- He wanted to use it temporarily while recovering his 550 dash.
