Ferrari 456 Immobiliser location

Hi all i am having trouble with my Ferrari 456 gta immobilizer, i took it to DK engineering who couldn't reprogram my fobs to car and as a result i am trying to remove my immobilizer totally.

I needed to find the immobilizer location does anyone know where it is?

I read its under the passenger seat carpet can anyone confirm before i remove the seat to check please.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you remove the immobilizer, the car will not start or run, period, so you will have shot yourself in the foot and maybe even crossed your feet to save bullets. Tell us what the problem is and maybe we can help. Read this so you have a bit better understanding of the alarm system and what your options are and do not turn your 456 into a plant stand.

Hiya whats happened is i bought a ferrari 456 gta with only one fob 5 years ago. I should have made copies but didnt know this would ever happen to me.
I accidently left my keys in my trousers and washed them. The.remote no longer worked so i sent remote to be checked and repaired but still no joy.
So i sent my car to DK engineering who ordered my pin and fobs to program, but this didnt work as they claim the immobiliser or pin code was changed at some point.
So now i have a car sitting there not starting and someone mentioned i could remove immobiliser or reprogram mg ecu.
If what you are saying is right what do you suggest?
If i order a new immobiliser it will cost 2k including fitting and im goin through a financial nightmare.
I was hoping to fix my car and sell it

Did you send your fob to Eric in France to see if he could recover the data written on the EEPROM in the fob? If he can read it, he can then copy it to a working fob and you will be set. Let me know if you need contact information.

Otherwise you have two options, buy a complete new alarm set, which includes a new Alarm ECU, new immobilizer, and three new fobs with PIN and that set will already have the PIN and fob IDs in the ECU. Or you can buy a used alarm set, which I would not do unless you also get the PIN. All alarms from the F355 5.2- the 575 7.1.1 are the same so any will work. You would probably have to swap the Motronic ECUs side to side to make either work.

You cannot remove the immobilizer and have her run. She looks for an alarm good signal from the Alarm ECU before starting and that comes from using the fob to disarm the alarm and immobilizer.

If Eric can recover the data, have him make two fobs and then rotate them almost daily so the rolling codes do not get out of synch. Do not carry both of them in your pocket, as you discovered.

Af- Did you buy a new set of three fobs with new PIN or are they just loose fobs? Will PM Eric's details.

Do you have the paper alarm PIN as shown in the document above?

The new PIN is not designed to work to program your Alarm ECU with the new set of fobs. To program a new set of fobs, you need the original PIN that came with her and is still in the Alarm ECU, otherwise you cannot start her with the PIN and key or program the ECU to accept a new set fobs.

Ask your dealer if he can get your original PIN for you. Ferrari keeps a record of those PINs. Once you have the original PIN, you can program the ECU to accept the new set.
