December 2012 - Costco Promotion on Bridgestone Tires

Just an FYI for you all ...

I am in market for new tires and Costco (at least the ones in Arizona) are having a December promotion. Yesterday I got a quote for a price on Bridgestone Potenza S-02A tires for my 360 that is more than $250 lower than getting the tires from Tire Rack (when you factor in shipping, mounting and balancing). These Bridgestones are the OEM tires for the 360.

Out of interest what was the price ? Just wondering what the price differential is between the US and UK ?
Might be worth shipping them over.

I am a Bridgestone Fan - wonder what the best size is for the 16M.

Need to do some research - oil is cheap tires are dropping.

If they have any buy a couple of sets.

Costco is a great resource but you never know what they will have from one week to the next.

My local Costco did not have them in stock, but they are getting them from their store in California for me. Am getting Bridgestone Potenza S-02A
Two 215/45ZR-18 for front
Two 275/40ZR-18 for rear

Total cost, out the door, includes tires, tax, mounting and balancing is $1192

Tires and mouting

Nice price on the tires and they are Z rated.

Would like to know what the results of the mounting are. My concern is how a place like Costco would treat your wheels and the lug nuts?

Hi Ceb,

They treated the rims fine, there was a senior guy there. I share your concern. The tire jockeys at Costco and other chain tire stores pay fairly minimum wage and my experience they get what they pay for. The only exception is that in summer the local tire chains employ high school kids and as many of these kids just want to do a good job for the summer and frequently do OK. I put more details on my experience in this post ...

I have heard people getting tires from Costo that were manufactured several months back. So be sure to check the manufacturer date when you purchase thru them.

Yes the same. Exhaust sounds great. I also installed a switch so I can open the bypass valves to have exhaust muffler bypassed at low rpm. Love it.

How's that 348 treating you? You had nice clean specimen there.

Good to hear. Andy does nice work.
So far so good with the 348. Will be taking her in for a belt service here soon.
Have you heard of a good detail shop in town? I have been recommended European Detail in Scottsdale. Thoughts?
