Steering wheel identity?
I was given this wheel by an old family friend who was a very wealthy man in the 80s and 90s, just wondering if it has any value and what car it most likely came off of?
Only link I have to the picture of the wheel is on my twitter account so I hope it's visible for you via the link
Twitter / nosreap77: I need to get this identified! ...
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but that is not a steering wheel from a Ferrari.
It looks to be an aftermarket accessory wheel with a prancing horse horn button.
Ferrari quit using wood wheels when thin, large diameter wheels were still in fashion. By the time thick, smaller diameter wheels came into use Ferrari had already changed to leather. Many accessory companies produced modern sized wood wheels for those that wanted a more traditional look. This would be one of those.
I cannot make out the manufacturers name but it looks like the style is named "Indy". Indy was a Maserati model and it is unlikely Ferrari would have ever put that word on one of their wheels.
This was my thoughts too I believe it's a momo wheel just wasn't to sure if it came from a specific car or not.
Thanks for your help its greatly appreciated
