We wish to announce that Cauley Ferrari has become a Bronze Tier sponsor with us. Cauley is an authorized Ferrari dealer in the Detroit area.

As Cauley is a sponsor of the AIM Motorsports 458 team in GrandAm and ALMS, there is a joint GrandAm and ALMS race the weekend following the 2013 Ferrari Club of America International Meet there may be some more interesting announcements soon.

Charity Auction Donations

We are soliciting donations for the charity auction that will be held right before the Awards Banquet. The beneficiary is Ronald McDonald House.

We already have a commitment from Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi for VIP tickets. Who will be next?

Have to heartily recommend the Osthoff. Have been happy to enjoy their hospitality over the years while attending various Audi, BMW, and FERRARI track events at Road America. Many FCA members will remember the FCA 2009 National Meet at the Osthoff.
Hope you can join us for FCA 2013.

Temps up yesterday with sunshine here SW of Chicago. The break between rainy days allowed me to drive the open cockpit covered wheel riding lawnmower at speeds approaching 3mph at wide open throttle. Almost put on a helmet and Nomex.
Salivating for FCA 2013 at Road America.
Best.

Track to Village Center Drive

After the Concours at Road America there will be a drive of the race cars into Elkhart Lake for an exhibition on the street. Police escort of open pipe cars sounds fun!

Best regards,
This was so new news that I only got it yesterday from Mike Epifanio, Event Chair. There will be a drive from the track into "downtown" Elkhart Lake with the racers. The police will lead all of YOU with those non-street legal cars on that terribly long and grueling 3 1/2 mile drive into town for a public showing. This ought to be a really fun sight with ripping and snorting unmuffled cars on some public streets. Apparently the plan is for the cars to be on display for several hours into the early evening before it gets too dark.

Some blue car of unknown origins ought to do a fine job of traveling with a 333SP or two, a BBLM or more, some 360 and 430 GTs and a bunch of Challenge cars. Sure hope there are some other of our very historic racers from the 50s and 60s in this procession too. I can se that with your clutch there will need to be consideration given to car spacing for the drive.

Another tidbit.

For all those that will be diving through Milwaukee on the ay to Elkhart Lake word is that there will be a billboard for our event. No word yet on when it goes up or where it will be. This ought to be a fun spotting opportunity.

Dear Jeff and Dan,

Please see posts# 279 and 280 of the following thread for some views you should not have at the National.

Outstanding, Admiral! Just don't lap me at Road America!
Went to Gingerman in SW lower Michigan last weekend for FCA Central States track event. The 458 spread alone was worth the trip... 458's, a 458 Challenge, and a 458 GT3!
360 and 430 representation, including 360 N-GT. Front and mid-engined 12's also there (lapping in a 250 GT/L!!!).
Roofless F-50 variant (333cc per cylinder, 6-speed sequential, you get the idea...) was wonderful; noticeably more oomph in the rebuilt motor.
Was the loudest, fastest, most enjoyable Gingerman event ever for me. although did miss a few of the normal pack.
Warning: you will want to see the report in a future issue of Prancing Horse that will include the other machinery and people that attended. Car nuts will salivate. Trust me on this.
Got a trip to MidOhio in couple of weeks courtesy of the nice folks of the Ohio Audi Club, then on to ROAD AMERICA-FCA 2013!!!
Best to all.

You and I are. Miriam is probably not going so Andy Sisulak may take her seat in Prugna (Andy has been arranging the Spouse program). Randy G. is registered but last I knew was not planning to drive one of the Ferraris because the kids and Beth are all going; need to see about changing that.

Know that a member is Springfield MO is registered but he was looking to have the car hauled there (if is a Platinum winner). The 250 TdF will be there but the car is going up a couple weeks before the event for the vintage races and will be left up there four our event. J. Thomas is expected to be there but all of his interesting cars are kept with the restorer in Wisconsin.

I would certainly like to see some more from our chapter in attendance up there.

You guys be careful re the local speed limits as you drive through Illinois and Wisconsin.
Also, I normally drive on 43 as I go north of Milwaukee but then take 57 toward Plymouth, Wis, before getting on 67 to drive right to Road America/ Elkhart Lake (check your maps).
HOWEVER, I have been told that 57 may be under repair. If so, think about staying on 43 to Sheboygan, Wis, and then heading west to RA/ Elkhart Lake.
See you at FCA 2013.

We are pleased to announce that Penfolds winery is now a Silver+ Tier sponsor for the event. They will be the exclusive wines poured at all the scheduled events throughout the 6 days. This is the second consecutive year that Penfolds is an International Meet sponsor.

Beyond this Penfolds has now become an "Official Partner of the Ferrari Club of America".

Apparently Motion Products will be doing some very interesting activities in their Mercato tent at Road America. Sounds like some things that are not to be missed.

Road America - FCA 2013

Anyone from the Kansas City area planning to attend? I live in the area and would be interested in meeting up with fellow folks for the adventure. I will be taking some artwork to display at the Mercato. Cheers, Phil

FCA 2013 concours field seems to have several Daytona's, with 512BB (and LM's), 275's, and Dino's also popular. Also, there are several 1950's-60's 250 flavors registered.
Kudos to the man tracking his 250 LWB! One very quick driver is in Red group with his 275 6C.
See you in Elkhart Lake.
Best.
