so who won the race in the end?
Well unfortunately is wasn't a Ferrari but a Porsche GT2R. Second place went to a F430 Challenge.
A while ago JT posted some pics of an Enzo track day, one of the Enzo's was also shrink wrapped in matt black. It's a great way to change the colour of your car without the hassle of painting it, and then you can go back to the original colour or change to any colour of the spectrum when you feel like it
I agree, I think it is great that you can have your car in any colour scheme and when tired of it you just peel off the wrap and back to the original colour again. The other bonus is that it protects the original paint. Apparently the wrap can last up to 5 years. A spokesperson from the company that does it here, said their biggest clients are Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini owners and the most popular wrap colours are matt black and white.
I have been fortunate enough to be able to do this a couple of times. Always very enjoyable.
Enjoyable indeed. You are very lucky to experience something like this a couple of times. This was my first and as they say, you never forget your first
Great stuff, Mike, thanks for posting. Always reminds me of JHB days - I lived 5 kms from that track!
5Kms! Your kidding. I live about 20 minutes away on a good day without traffic
Did you ever go to the Ferrari Days at Kyalami when you lived here? Who knows, we might have bumped shoulders and we dont even know it.
