Being a guest of Ferrari GT team

On Wednesday the 27th of May I got a phone call saying that I had won a competition with a local company called FORZA Racing and I had won VIP ticket to be their guest for the day. It was absolutely fantastic with full access to the pits and garage as well as FORZA's Boma (VIP guest area) that over looked three parts of the race track. The race took place on Saturday 30th of May held at Kyalami Race Track in Johannesburg.

That must have been a great day Mike, and what a fantastic prize. Great pics.

I bet you wished you could have got in one of them, even just as a passenger

Thanks Arch, it was the best prize I've ever won in my life

You guessed it 100% about me wishing I could go in one. That would have put the cherry on the cake just to finish off the day

The company does offer Track Experiences where you can spend a day on a full course with them and you get to drive their 360 Challenge around the track or they also offer a Hot Lap experience in the 360 Challenge, for a price of course of which you get driven by a pro so you can experience what they do in race conditions. They are running another competition where you can win the Hot Lap, so needless to say I will be entering that one for sure, holding thumbs!!

The matt black 430 Challenge, which I'm sure you noticed is the same one from my previous thread of the Ferrari Show Day, looks even better in person. It is actually a red 430 but the owner had it wrapped in this matt black. This is his first year of racing after watching his 20 year old son for the past year race a 360 Challenge in the same series, and so the dad decided he wanted to race too and got himself the 430, so you now have father and son competitiveness on the track. I believe the pictures I took of the Scuderia in the parking lot belongs to the father of which he uses the Scuderia as a daily driver.

A while ago JT posted some pics of an Enzo track day, one of the Enzo's was also shrink wrapped in matt black. It's a great way to change the colour of your car without the hassle of painting it, and then you can go back to the original colour or change to any colour of the spectrum when you feel like it

Well unfortunately is wasn't a Ferrari but a Porsche GT2R. Second place went to a F430 Challenge.

I agree, I think it is great that you can have your car in any colour scheme and when tired of it you just peel off the wrap and back to the original colour again. The other bonus is that it protects the original paint. Apparently the wrap can last up to 5 years. A spokesperson from the company that does it here, said their biggest clients are Ferrari, Porsche and Lamborghini owners and the most popular wrap colours are matt black and white.

Enjoyable indeed. You are very lucky to experience something like this a couple of times. This was my first and as they say, you never forget your first

5Kms! Your kidding. I live about 20 minutes away on a good day without traffic Did you ever go to the Ferrari Days at Kyalami when you lived here? Who knows, we might have bumped shoulders and we dont even know it.
